4 Common Shortcuts Use the 1,2 3 keys for no, Maybe and Yes Use the Alt/Opt key as the make better key.. Use the Tab key to show and hide your sidebars Use the G key to show the grid in working with rooms. Use the Tab + shift keys to show/hide info bar, select size view or working with rooms. Use the Q key to show the quick order fly out menu. Use Cmd + M to mirror your display. Use Opt + Drag to move an image in a layout Use the Up & Down Arrow Keys to change size Cmd/Ctrl + T to open an original image in Photoshop Cmd/Ctrl + U to reload an edited image back into ProSelect. C to see a crop. Opt + 0 to remove crop.

6 Quick Book Creation Highlight several images ad drag to a template to auto-populate a book. Or Load your page layouts in the display area, then drag your images to the empty templates to auto-populate

7 Smart Filters Select the image to go into your template. Use the dropdown menu to select how you want Smart Filters to search for suitable templates.

8 Designed a Book You Love? Templates > Save a Book to a New Group This will create a new template group for the book you have just created, allowing you to use the same design at a future session.

9 Need to Join or Split Pages? If you have a book where the lab needs the layouts as spreads rather than pages: Album>Join Book Pages. If you have a book where the lab needs the layouts as pages rather than spreads: Under HRP Preferences>Split Double Spread Book Pages.

11 Need to organize your templates? The template manager is your best friend You can sort, group and categorize templates You can even go straight to the template editor from here. Templates>Manage Templates

12 Want to consistently apply a style or Templates>Edit templates frame to a template? Click the style or frame icon in the lower right of the template window. Choose your style or frame.

13 Need to quickly edit a PSD overlay? Templates>Edit Templates Click the yellow magnifying glass where the template is in the Resources Folder. Select Edit In Photoshop icon. Your photoshop file will open in Photoshop and you can adjust as needed. Save the file and update it in ProSelect.

15 Want to hide things from your client? Preferences>Display>Calibration & Options: you can hide information about the images. Preferences>Pricing & Ordering> Settings: you can hide pricing information.

16 Want to watermark your images? Resources>SetUp Stamps & Watermarks Add your watermark mask file (black logo on white BG.jpg) Set up how it looks here:

19 Exporting Shortcuts For Your Clients Ways to usefully export data, images, book layouts, designs and ideas for your clients.

20 Exporting For Your Clients There are several ways to export, images, slideshows, album layouts and proof sheets so they can be printed or ed to a client. 1. Sample Images - AKA Low Res Files. Web sized images for upload to an online gallery, FB or for ing. File>Export>Sample Images>or Selected Sample Images -make sure your Preferences settings are set to import that largest file possible. This makes downsizing to a web sized file easy.

21 Exporting For Your Clients 1. Current Display Area This will take a screenshot or snapshot of the current display area. 2. Click the camera icon on the right tool bar. -This allows you to export a Room View, Layout or even thumbnails.

22 Exporting For Your Clients 1. Slideshows You can export a QuickTime Slideshow movie of your clients images in DVD, Iphone, Ipad or PDA format for upsales or showings. File>Export>Slideshow Movie -Use this to promote on FB or even sell as a product to your clients.

23 Exporting For Your Clients 1. File name List You can export file names of your clients images in their PS album. Helpful for production employees who need a list of images your client is considering or as a hard copy for your clients working file folder. File>Export>Filename List

25 Exporting For Your Studio Backing Up ProSelect Other than your Preferences settings, most of the configuration information that ProSelect uses is saved in two places: ProSelect_Data.xml file - This contains your prices, templates, styles, frame setup, room setup etc. (There is no image data saved in this file.) ProSelect Resources folder - This contains any images associated with the above, such as overlay images on templates, room view images, frame segments, mat/background images etc. File>ProSelect Data >Export Data To:

26 Exporting For Your Studio Preferences> General Settings>Sharing Locate your Resources Folder and back it up to a safe location. You can also save your Preferences Set-Up to a safe location and share it across multiple computers that use ProSelect.

27 Exporting For Your Studio 1. Client Order Data Create a paperless workflow by exporting your clients invoice data to your studio management software. 28 Exporting For Your Studio 1. Upload Images and Layouts to Animoto Easy Animoto slideshow creation File>Animoto>Upload Images & Layouts You must have TE s Upload Manage installed and set up to use this feature.

29 Lesser Known Tips Inside ProSelect Make your life a little easier

30 Alt/Opt key *Use it to drag images inside a layout when in view (eyeball) mode. No more having to switch to cropping mode to adjust images * Use alt/opt in cropping mode to adjust your aspect ratio. Pressing it will free crop your image rather than snapping to specific ratios. * Use C key to see a selected crop. Use alt/opt + 0 (zero) to delete a crop quickly.

31 Right Click Right click on any viewing mode or tool that has an arrow on its right side. A pop up menu will appear of the features available for this tool/view mode. Great for selecting specific sizes when in Select Size view. Also great for quickly adding items to the shopping cart without having to open up the shopping cart.
