1 HCM 9.0 TO 9.2 UPGRADE The Maverick Solutions course PSF630 - Delta 9.0 to 9.2 is perfect for any organization that wants to bring their team up to speed on the new features found in PeopleSoft Human Capital Management (HCM) 9.2. This class includes examples and several activities addressing the new features in PeopleSoft HCM, from implementing security enhancements to the introduction of a centralized Profile Management module that delivers enterprise-wide talent management, which offers organizations seamless integration with other talent management applications. Topics address the new HCM architecture to support the storing and tracking of all person types, changes to the HR business processes, changes to the Recruiting Solutions product, and changes to functionality specific to 14 different countries. Check out some of the new features below: WhatSecure Enterprise Search PeopleSoft Secure Enterprise Search (SES) is now fully integrated with HCM and ELM. This allows users to search for data from one key search field. When searching for data users are able to refine their results using categories or advanced search options. Transactions can be processed directly from the search results instead of having to navigate through the menu options. A user will only be able to see results or process transactions that their security allows.

2 In the Search box at the top of the Home page enter the value you wish to search for. Then click the icon at the end of the search box. New features of Secure Enterprise Search allow organizations to include indexes from PeopleSoft CRM, Financials and external indexes that are created by your organization. New search indexes can be created without the need for coding changes.

3 Dashboards The Manager Dashboard is designed to give managers a single place where they can go to view transactions that may need their attention and to act on them. From the dashboard they can immediately update data or use a link to go to a specific application page. The links within a pagelet allow the manager to easily access pages to view more information or to complete a transaction. Dashboards allow users to personalize content and layout. Work Centers Work Centers are a new page in release 9.2. It is a summary of most of the pages commonly used by a manager or administrator and eliminates the need to navigate to separate pages. Work Centers can be configured to meet the specific needs of your organization as well as the needs of the individuals using the Work Center. This page is used to manage time from a centralized location. A Work Center might also be created for a payroll administrator.

4 PeopleSoft Fluid User Interface With the new PeopleSoft Fluid User Interface, organizations can make enhancements to the traditional PeopleSoft browser display. This new functionality will allow you to access information from multiple mobile devices i.e. laptops, ipad, or Smartphone, as well as desktop computers. The following page is an example of a PeopleSoft Fluid Home page. Main Menu, Fluid Home for HR Classes Notice that the Manager Self Service page has a task bar as well as blocks referred to as Tiles that make up the self service page. A user can add tiles and further define User options for this page. When you click on a Tile you are taken to the associated pages. You can also click on the icons on the Navigation Bar to access other information. The Employee FLUID page might look like the one below if the employee has access to more applications. These pages can be viewed from mobile devices such as smart phones and ipads as well as computers.

5 Pivot Grids Pivot Grids are a way of viewing content from a query in a graphic format. You can configure pivot grids based on a PeopleSoft query that you have created using the 5-step setup wizard for Pivot Grids. In 9.2 PeopleSoft has delivered pivot grids that your organization can utilize in the following areas: Core HR Compensation Talent Acquisition Manager Absence Management Time and Labor To view an example of a Pivot Grid navigate to the FLUID Home page. You can change the view of the graphic by selecting the applicable icon: Bar Chart Pie Chart (currently display) Horizontal Bar Chart You can also change the settings for the pivot grid by clicking on the Change Settings link at the top of the pivot grid.

6 HR Announcements The HR Announcement framework is a new feature of PeopleSoft 9.2. It can be used to send out different types of announcements for different purposes to specified groups of people in your organization or companywide. Companies might use HR Announcements to alert employees that it is open enrollment time for Benefits or Payroll might use it for yearend announcements. The following page is used to define HR Notifications. Delivery Method: The notification can be defined as an Announcement, Notification or Both. If Announcement is selected the notification will be displayed in the Announcement pagelet in Employee Self Service /Manager Self Service.
