4 CHECKOUT INTEGRATION GUIDE - LIGHTBOX 4 Introduction The Checkout Lightbox carries out the entire payment process in a window that overlays the seller s website. As such, the buyer is not redirected to another window or a pop-up to make the payment. Warning: This documentation includes information and terms of the PagSeguro Payment API. If you are not familiar with the Payment API, we recommend reading our documentation at the following link: Integration The Checkout Lightbox uses several HTML 5 features, therefore the first step is to annotate your page with the doctype in the first line: <!DOCTYPE html> The most common browsers already support this type of annotation, and those that do not, will ignore it. Warning: It is important to use the annotation described above. The absence of this annotation can cause problems in the opening of Lightbox in browsers such as Internet Explorer. Integration with the Checkout Lightbox occurs through a JavaScript API, therefore, the next step is to import the following JavaScript into the payment page <script type="text/javascript" src=" </script> This JavaScript uses the PagSeguroLightbox method that starts the payment process. Defining payment data In this step you will send your checkout data, such as product, client and delivery information. You will use the redirect code obtained through the PagSeguro Payment API. This code can be transferred using a query string parameter or in JSON. Example:

These events return information regarding the customer s actions in the lightbox. The events are: EVENT success abort DESCRIPTION An event that occurs when the client successfully concludes the checkout. The transaction code is sent as the parameter. An event that occurs when the client does not conclude the checkout and closes lightbox. Simply send a JavaScript function with the name success and abort via JSON in the opening call to Lightbox. When the Lightbox is called in a browser that does not have support, it will return false. This allows you to send the client via redirect to the regular checkout page if the browser does not support the Lightbox functionality.
