Furthermore, the utilization of the newest version of Dreamweaver and Fireworks for the fall 2012 will enhance the Educational Technology program significantly. This course is designed to provide teachers/professionals with the knowledge andskills necessary to create Web pages using Hypertext Markup language (HTML) or Macromedia's Dreamweaver authoring software. The course is also specifically designed to develop combined visual layout tools with text-based HTML editing features for the creation, management and maintenance of Web sites. Topics covered include basic Internet concepts, creating Web pages, working with graphics, creating links, elements of pagedesign, adding user interactivity, managing your site, using libraries, using templates, creating frames, creating layers, using style sheets, using find and replace, creating forms, animating with timelines and extending Dreamweaver to illustrate and enhance Web page design. In addition, the course will include instruction in the use of Internet services and the fundamentals of Web page design and Web site development.

2 The software will be used in the Macintosh Instructional Computer Laboratory (GH 3000H, located in the Carver Resources Center) and one copy installed on the Instructors office computer. In addition, Instructor also requests externalportable hard drive to store students digital media project. Equipment/Technology purchased with Tech Fee funds is for student use only. It cannot be filtered or passed-down to faculty or staff. All outdated or broken Tech Fee equipment/technology must be returned to the Tech Fee Committee for retirement or disposal. If you are submitting a request for computers, printers, scanners or software, you must consult with College Computing and the technology staff, to acquire a quote and to make sure that this equipment/software is supported by UT.
