1 Main Screen Changes The DLM has undergone a major improvement to the interface. The improved design of this screen, matching many of the design tools in use, replaces the expanders on the left hand side of the screen with a ribbon across the top. All the existing tools are available but the ribbon tabs and buttons make it much easier to understand and use. This change also means there is more screen width available to show the details of the drawings and other controlled documents. See screen shot below:- The Ribbons are as follows: Home Ribbon Search documents Search Filters Create Placeholder* Issue Documents* Edit Properties (see below).

2 Grouping Ribbon Tools for grouping the results in the main screen. The grouping options have not changed. Basket Ribbon The basket ribbon allows access to the temporary basket and any saved baskets. Placeholders Ribbon Internal Palceholders Tools Create Placeholder* - create new placeholders based on a number scheme. Clone Placeholder* - create new placeholders by cloning existing placeholders. Delete Placeholder* - delete placeholders (provided they have not been used). Auto Assign Sets* - Assign sets to placeholders based on their document number. Sets / workpackages* - assign sets and workpackages to placeholders. Entity Links* - link placeholders to other entities. Integration Tools Update Titleblocks* - shows any pending titleblock changes for linked DWG files. Process files* - instigate a titleblock read for linked DWG files (for use with AutoCAD LT). Assign file Links* - link placeholders to DWG files and layouts.

3 Document control and Reporting Ribbon Approvals Tools Send For Approval start the process to request review of selected documents. Request Resubmittal start the process to request resubmittal of reviewed documents. Manage Approvals manage the review and resubmittal processes. Issuing & Reporting Issue documents create formal transmittal for the selected documents Registers create and view pdf report on the documents and issues Register Report create and view the full document register Download Zip zip and download the selected documents Assigning Renditions Ribbon This is the area for assigning new renditions. Click Add Files to browse for files or simply drop files into the Administration Ribbon Available Sets* - control which sets can be used for the project Available Schemes* - control which number schemes can be used for the project Document Reference* - change the document reference or number Revert Placeholder* - undo the last revision to a placeholder provided it hasn t been issued. Remove File Links* - remove the link between a placeholder and a DWG file. Project Settings* - set UNC path to linked DWG files and other settings Manage Approvals Review and manage the approval process.

4 Edit Properties This is now a single screen allowing you to quickly update the properties of the selected documents. This replaces the section in the expanders and is much clearer and easier to use. Assign Renditions Assign Renditions is the area where most change has happened. The two different Assign Renditions processes (Assign Renditions and Assign External Renditions) have been brought together as a single process. This improvement results in some changes to the way that renditions are added: The files are now copied to the system rather than moved. This means that you will need to delete the files / renditions if you no longer require them. The process for creating placeholders for new files is different. Rather than having to go to the create placeholders page you now simply unmatch the files (if they are matched) and process to the next page where you will be prompted to create new placeholders.

5 Step 1 - Automatic Match Page Any matching placeholders will be shown on this page. You can choose to increment the revision or remain at the same revision in which case the rendition will be added or replace the existing ones. New Placeholder Page On this page you can create new placeholders for the files being added.

6 Manual Match Page On this page you can manually match files to placeholders and have control over which revision they are added to.
