2 THAT About Me Hi, i m Naveed Qasim. I love Web Design & Interaction Design. I am working for the past 9 years and spent my last 5 years extensively in the department of UI/UX. SOME FACTS ABOUT ME I never would have guessed I d be a UI/UX Designer, but life takes us on funny adventures, and here I find myself really in love with my work. I do user experience design and interface design for web and mobile apps. I love building products, working with developers, pushing pixels, getting user feedback, making things better, illustrating donuts, and gaming. Other areas of expertise 29 years Age include print designs, wireframes, app icons, branding, websites, dashboards, interactions, landing pages. I am proficient in all of the industry standard software If you have had no romantic success by the age of 29 and no obvious horrible deformities, chances are that you are a nerd. programs including sketch, and continue to educate myself on newest technologies, styles and trends. Currently living in Lahore, Pakistan with passion for grids, typography, eye candy and progressive enhancement. 9 years Work Experience Over the years versatility has been a vital part of my career growth and I feel fortunate to be able to explore different industries. 5 years Design Experience Dribbble I ve spent the last 5 years extensively in the field of design and UI/UX, studying different trends and successful UX patterns. 3

3 Work Experiences Last 4 Years Only SEVEN CENTRIC UI/UX Designer I started my career as a UI/UX Designer from Seven Centric. I quickly moved up the ranks to be the leading designer on team and worked almost on every project assigned by the project managers UPWORK (Freelance) EDUCATION Freelance UI/UX Designer I explored Freelance industry to upgrade my skills and test the waters outside local industry. It was a great experience and I got chance to work with some great clients. Helped me gain confidence and explain the process CARAMEL TECH STUDIOS ALLAMA IQBAL OPEN UNIVER- PUNJAB GROUP OF COLLEGES DON BOSCO HIGH SCHOOL Lead UI/UX Designer I worked as the Lead UI/UX Designer on their product fizz. I was responsible for their sand box application that can be integrated into games as a chat messenger. I also learnt some UI art for games and expanded my skill set. Bachelors (Freeze) Intermediate Matriculation PUNCH DIGITAL AGENCY Creative Director I joined Punch as the Senior UI/UX Designer, based on my performance and successful deliveries of projects, I was promoted as the Creative Director for Lahore Office. I ve had the pleasure to lead a team of four designers here. The above mentioned experience is only for the last 4 years, which is more relevant to current career path and area of expertise. 4 What I do Art is never finished, only abandoned Leonardo da Vinci MOBILE DESIGN I can create web applications, ios and Android. I can easily work with developers and provide support after design phase to assist development phase. These include the marketing screenshots and app icons. INTERACTION DESIGN I can create standard and complex animations, based on trends and natural human behaviour. I love working with principle and I believe no product is complete without precise and subtle interactions. WEB DESIGN I can work on all the industry standard tools including Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator. My process for Web Design starts from Wireframes to User Interface and then to Prototype and finalizing the deliverables at Zeplin for development support. PHOTOGRAPHY Can do some basic level photography and light direction with appropriate equipment. And taking feedback from users actually helps me understand how are they perceiving the design and what improvements are needed to help them use the system. Dashboard at times can be tricky, sometimes it depends on the clients and sometimes it depends on the requiremets. Jumping directly into the UI phase frequently creates unmanageable problems without first prototyping and testing. There is a technique of feedback used by Pixar and Disney known as Plussing. In this method, a critic may only criticize an idea if they also add a constructive suggestion. And those little suggestions and improvements make their designs stand out. Though this technique has used by animation studios, using it in UI/UX design can have beneficial impacts

10 Process/Inspiration Being a designer is about solving problems. For this reason, following a design process is 02 essential. Every designer follows their own design process to come up with a solution to the problem at hand. Leonardo da Vinci once said Art is never finished, only abandoned. So, no matter how incredible I may think my design is, there will always be room for improvements. Getting feedback from professional designers and users, can help take the design vision to next level.
