4 What we want to achieve We want to make the knowledge of the cultural institutions apparent and to make their work more transparent to a greater public. We want to make the knowledge of cultural institutions understandable and to give access to cultural heritage information. We hope that people enjoy the information offered by the portal. We want to offer the knowledge of cultural institutions and cultural heritage for purposes of e-learning, e-scolarship, and e-publishing. We want to offer an incentive for the user to share his the knowledge and to set a stage for his contributions. 4
