Description: It began in June, 2006 a partnership between Arab researchers in the area of language engineering at the University of Cairo - Egypt, Stanford and Columbia Universities, USA and partial support from the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (CMIT) Egypt. Alzoa research began in Center of Excellence for Data Mining and Computer Modeling (CoE), Egypt to improve the Arabic news tracking and detection. Alzoa.com considered the biggest Arabic news aggregator portal on the web; it s crawling more than 170 Arabic news sites (newspapers, magazines, electronic newspaper/magazine sites, and news agencies) and is characterized by powerful Arabic news search engine. My role: project Manager, Research Engineer, and Servers Administrator. Tools & languages: Perl, PHP, Adobe Dreamweaver CS3, Netbeans, and Mysql Database. URL: [Akhbar Elyom Portal] (Faculty of computer & information Cairo university) Status: finished Description: It started in January 2008, will be finished in November It aimed to design and develop a complete powerful web portal to Dar Akhbar El Yom organization, contain all portal functionalities and web services including powerful Arabic search engine, interactive home page for Dar Akhbar El Yom and Control Management system(cms) to control the portal and finally (WAP system) a system to allow users browse the news from mobiles. 5 Machine Translation (MT) project, Transliterate the out of vocabulary words (OOV) from Arabic to English or vise versa using powerful Language Model and huge translation Model. My role: Develop and test the Transliteration Engine manager, sharing in construction the Arabic Language Model (LM) Tools & languages: Dot Net C# and Perl. [Automatic summarization of Arabic news Articles ] (ISSR- Cairo university) Status: finished Description: It started in August 2010, finished in June It aimed to design and develop a powerful summarizer system for Arabic news articles using statistical natural language processing SNLP Methods and techniques for sentences extraction, ranking and summary generation The produced summary is displayed as points (bullets form) to avoid the semantics problem of sentences combination. The system is evaluated using three types of evaluation: human judgment, evaluation in term of precession, recall and F-measure and comparing evaluation. It is a research project for qualification of Ph.D. degree in computer science. My role: Design, Develop and test the whole project. Tools & languages: Dot Net C# and Perl.
