1 NEW FEATURES/ENHANCEMENTS Featured Automated Reports - More Specific Send Times and Frequencies [winrx-10812/winscan-10814] Automated reports will now allow the user to enter shorter time frequencies. The Frequency column will now allow entry in days, hours and minutes. Report run time can also be specified down to a specific date and time of day. With this change, you can execute more frequent managerial or marketing reports, such as an hourly fill report or more timely patient direct communication. Dispensing/Workflow escript/fax/call Doctor Feature Consolidation [winrx-355] This enhancement was primarily implemented in order to allow the user to send a prescription refill request to an alternate doctor even if the attached doctor does not have contact information on file. Also, this change allows consolidation of the three different contact types onto one selection screen. To utilize the feature, in Refill [F10], press F9 to view transmission options and then select the method that is appropriate for your situation. Manual Data Entry for escripts [winrx-1872] An option is now available in File Maintenance > Business Info > Workflow Options to require escript information to be manually entered onto the New Rx screen. Once enabled, patient, doctor, drug and sig will have to be manually entered instead of having the search field pre-populated with data from the escript. Transmitted data will be displayed on screen as before for reference. AutoFill Flag Updates With New Rx [winrx-1957] WinRx will now maintain AutoFill flag for the same medication regardless of entry/update method (F10 Update Number, F9 New Rx or escript) if the Rx is in the Doc Called/Faxed queue. This will allow the AutoFill flag to follow the medication for the life of the prescription regardless of actual Rx number. Third Party DUR Messages in Verification Screens [winrx-2923] WinRx will now display third party DUR messages in addition to internal DUR warnings on verification screens. Rx Already Picked Up Warning [winrx-36] Recent program upgrades eliminated the programmatic need to have a hard stop to keep a user from reversing a prescription that has been picked up. However, to help curb errors, a warning has been added to Edit Rx [F11] to notify the user if the prescription the user is attempting to reverse has already been picked up. The user will have to choose yes to continue or no to abort. Deny the Ability to Override a Rx Image [winrx-57] To help pharmacies comply with state requirements, an option has been added to File Maintenance > Business Info called Page 1 of 9

2 Cannot Override Original Hardcopy to stop a user from using the scan feature on Edit Rx [F11] to override an originally scanned image. This will default to on for Illinois pharmacies to meet state requirements. If enabled, the user s only options are to add additional image(s) or update to a new number in order to scan the correct image as the original image. Rx Image Change Logging [winrx-89] Added logging for instances where a Rx image was added or edited through Edit Rx [F11]. Do Not Add to Opus From Refill [F10] [winrx-115] Prescriptions will no longer be added to the Opus/Batch Filling batch when refilling from Refill [F10]. Prescriptions will only be added to the batch from 1) New Rx/Update to New Number (always added), 2) Edit Rx [F11] (if manually added via the Add Batch Refill button, or 3) by right-clicking in the OPUS/Batch Refill screen. AutoFill Due Date for Edited Prescriptions [winrx-191] WinRx will now display the following message: Prescription is currently in the queue would you like to update the pickup date? Changes will be made when the save button is pressed if the user changes the Fill Date or Day Supply for an AutoFill prescription from Edit Rx [F11]. IOU Quality Check Logging [winrx-7988] WinRx will now log the date and time an IOU is checked in the Pharmacist Verification screen. Miscellaneous Refinements to Edit Rx [winrx-10717] Several refinements have been implemented to improve workflow and prevent errors: All changed values are logged with an original and new value. Save will not be allowed on read-only prescriptions (e.g. transferred out, insufficient user rights, etc.). Fill date changes will be allowed unless fill is picked up, delivered, mailed or sent to insurance. Label Note, Lot/Exp Date and Priority columns added to Rx History grid. Label note right-click and embedded change form has been removed - label note changes are to be made directly in the Rx History grid next to the desired fill. The Rx History grid is now fully customizable and can be saved by right-clicking and selecting Save View. Remove Prescriber Notification Record When Filling/Removing from Queue [winrx-10724] Prescriber notification records will be removed when the prescription is filled or removed from the Doc Called/Faxed Queue. This will help to substantially speed up pharmacist check, bin assignment and WinScan register Rxs not picked up. Opus/Batch Filling Screen Function [winrx-10773] The Batch Filling screen will no longer auto populate upon opening. The grid will not load with data until the user clicks into the grid area. In order to assist with processing ad hoc batches, a Rx field is now available into which a user can type or scan one or more Rxs onto the grid for processing. Page 2 of 9

3 Prescribers Prescriber Rx Expiration Date [winrx-10730] Default Rx Expiration Date can now be set for prescribers (including ARNPs and PAs). Set system defaults in File Maintenance > Business Info > Workflow Options. These defaults can be then be applied to individual prescribers in Doctor [F2]. Handling of Orders that Fail to Send [winrx-3163] In order to prevent inventory inaccuracies for pharmacies using the Update On Order When PO is Created setting in File Maintenance > Business Info > Inventory/Ordering, WinRx will now present the following message if an order fails to send: Error sending to vendor. Would you still like to increase the on order amounts for this order? Reports/Forms Quantity Written in Dispensing Reports [winrx-1383] A data column for Qty Written has been added to Detailed Dispensing for Period and Detailed Dispensing Dashboard. Next Adherence Date in Customer List [winrx-2600] A data column for Next Adherence Date has been added to the Customer List. Prescription Sales Tax Factored in to Margins [winrx-2797] Sales tax will now be subtracted from Total Paid to determine the prescription s margin. This data will also be considered in percent margin calculations. This will only be seen by pharmacies in states that require sales tax to be collected on prescriptions. Mass Xpress Fill/Fax Option Changes [winrx-2838] Xpress Fill/Fax options can now be changed en masse from the Patient List and Prescriber List. Change to Loading of Nursing Home Delivery Log [winrx-121] The Nursing Home Delivery Log will no longer load automatically upon opening the screen. The screen will wait for the user to enter through the date range to load the report grid. Supervising Prescriber on Transfer Out Form [winrx-192] The name of the supervising prescriber will now be included on the transfer out faxed/printed form. Include Compounds in Rxs Due for Home Report [winrx-10331] Compounded prescriptions will now be included in the Rxs Due for Home report. Compounds were previously excluded from this report due to the complicated nature of compound claim transmission prior to D.0. Hospice/Specialty Reporting Enhancements [winrx-10347/10743] Additional data columns have been added to Detailed Dispensing for Period to satisfy the necessity of reporting to CMS- Page 3 of 9

4 compliant hospice entities and specialty business partners. Reports containing this information can be exported in standard XLSX or CSV formats. The new data columns can be viewed/added from the column selector shortcut [...] in the Detailed Dispensing for Period report. Third Party Claims Display All Preferred Products from PBM [winrx-190] WinRx will now display all preferred product options received from the PBM on the TP Detail screen summary section for better visibility. This information will also be included on the printed/faxed TP Detail. Previously, this information was available on the Claim Detail tab in TP Detail with the first listed option being displayed in the TP Detail summary section. Transmit Claim Fields in Upper Case Letters When Required [winrx-10700] In order to help pharmacies avoid claim rejections due to changing NCPDP standards, WinRx will now transmit fields in upper case letters as required. CVS/Caremark will begin rejecting claims containing lowercase letters beginning 10/17/2014. Label Printing Compound Information on Label [winrx-2820/lblprt-2959] Compound Notes can now be printed on a CUSTX label style. Compound drug labeling requirements can be met by using a properly configured CUSTX label style. Pharmacist Name on Dymo Hardcopy [winrx-10679] When using the RPh Login feature along with a Dymo hardcopy, the logged in pharmacist name will now print on the hardcopy along with the FB: initials. Interfaces/Exports Prescriber NPI Number in LDM Data [winrx-2738/lblprt-2789] To help improve the LDM Carepoints quality of service, prescriber NPI number has been added to the LDM data transmission. D/C and On Hold Rxs in emar Queue [winrx-2798/91] WinRx will now send On Hold and D/C prescriptions to the emar queue. Also, a right-click option is now available to add all qualifying prescriptions to the emar queue - this is useful for initial emar setup. emar Initial Setup [winrx-2798/91] A right-click option is now available in the emar queue to add all qualifying prescriptions to this queue for initial emar setup. Synmed Interface [winrx-142] WinRx now has interface support for the Synmed dispensing robot. Synmed information can be found at synmedrx.com. Page 4 of 9

Improved Logging for Exports from Multiple Folders [winrxexport-67] Improved logging for exports performed from multiple base pharmacy folders. Schedule Drug Reporting Real Time Reporting and Mailed Prescriptions [lblprt-10794] For stores in real time scheduled drug reporting states, WinRx will no longer report mailed controlled substances to the local state when the prescription is mailed to a different state. You will be required to manually transmit these prescriptions to the proper state through the Schedule Drug Report. Schedule Drug Send Status ID Requirements [winscan-10748] WinScan will now flag schedule drug prescriptions as ready to send if Pickup ID is not required but Patient ID is required. Save Customization of Schedule Drug Report [sdr-10819] Users can now save column additions to the Schedule Drug Report. Once the report has been changed, right-click on the screen and select Save View button to set this as your default report layout. Reporting Change to ASAP 4.2 [sdr-143/188] Kentucky, New Jersey and Louisiana schedule drug reporting has been changed to ASAP v.4.2. Schedule Drug Reporting Change for Michigan Pharmacies [sdr-10795] As of July 1, 2014, the state of Michigan has moved to daily reporting of scheduled drugs. This has been implemented in WinRx As of this version, Computer-Rx will now upload the reporting file for the pharmacy. Miscellaneous Order Supplies Menu Option [winrx-2729] A menu option for Order Supplies has been added to the Help menu in WinRx. This link will take you to a webpage where you can easily order consumable supplies such as toner cartridges, receipt paper, etc. Support for Extremely Large Drug Files [winrx-131] To prevent potential errors, WinRx can now be adjusted to facilitate large drug files. Please call Computer-Rx if you suspect your drug file may need to be expanded. This will mostly apply only to large volume compounding or specialty pharmacies. Workflow Large Amount Tendered Warning [winscan-10673] WinScan will now present a warning to the user if the tendered amount entered is equal to or greater than $100. Remove IOU Entry from Rx Status Grid Upon Scan [winscan-10698] WinScan will now attempt to remove an IOU entry from the register screen Rxs Not Picked Up tab when it is scanned or entered via hot key. Interfaces/Ordering Voided Transactions Through Paymentech Interface [winscan-147] To satisfy PCI requirements, WinScan will now ask the clerk to swipe the credit card when voiding a ticket. This will affect all stores that use a credit card processor on the Paymentech platform. This does not affect WorldPay due the availability of a transaction ID for processing voids. Prevent Order Send When Order Number Missing [winscan-9433] WinScan will now stop the user from sending an order if an order number is missing from an item. The order number will need to be input to continue. Shipping Customize Store Name in Shipping Interface [winscan-1944] The pharmacy can now customize the Store Name field in the Ship Package screen. The field will default to the pharmacy name from File Maintenance > Business Info in WinRx, but can be altered as desired. PO Boxes and Shipping Interface [winscan-5084] Added a check for the phrases PO Box or P.O. Box when creating a shipping label.
