com obdsniffer is designed to allow quick execution of OBDII AT commands as well as development of ELM AT Scripts which consists of multiple AT commands grouped under a Script Name or title.

Script development is easy with obdsniffer with rapid editing style. MAIN SCREEN The main screen consists of three functions: Terminal panel. This is basically a serial terminal display that shows both transmitted OBDII commands and received data from the OBDII device. This display supports; Rapid scrolling When data is populated on the Terminal, you can access the Options Panel by pressing the display and holding for 2 seconds. Access to the Options Panel is also available from the Menu. Capture and save OBDII data View imported saved captured data AT Command scroll list. To Add/EDIT/Delete Script Commands, press and hold, then select the desired option. When in Script Edit mode, auto-inserts Scripted AT Commands into the scripting panel and adds a space for additional command that may follow. Inserts AT or Scripts at the current selected cursor location or automatically at the end. Additional Main Screen selections include: Save Data button. Saves the entire data received in the Terminal with user titles/file name. Saved data may be retrieved (imported) and displayed or ed when selecting the View Captured data option in the File Option selection. Command window. Commands entered in this window are transmitted when the Send button is selected. All transmitted AT Commands and selected Scripts are automatically added to this window for repeated transmission. Send button resends (transmits) the AT Command or selected script entered in the command window. Selecting the Send button will send the command again. Tag button. This presents an input dialog to enter Tags or annotations on the Terminal display to allow visual bookmarks for data forensics and legibility when testing AT Command responses. Delay between Commands: Selects the delay in milli-seconds between AT or Script Commands. Use the Scroll Bar or Tap the number Field to manually enter the delay time.

Data will continue in the background. Delay between Commands: Selects the delay in milli-seconds between AT or Script Commands. Use the Scroll Bar or Tap the number Field to manually enter the delay time. Some OBD command require a slight delay due to slow CAN response. Adjust this delay if you are receiving CAN Errors or you see that your commands are not showing in the Terminal window when you sent them. Script Builder Script Builder is a built-in editing feature which allows the user to build and save Macro (Scripts) style commands to be executed (transmitted) using one-touch selection.

This feature can be used to test multiple sequential AT commands for reverse engineering or vehicle interrogation and response.

6 Script Builder Script Builder is a built-in editing feature which allows the user to build and save Macro (Scripts) style commands to be executed (transmitted) using one-touch selection. Basically, the user gives the Script a name or title, then selects standard AT commands from the AT list or, enter their own AT command into the script field. This feature can be used to test multiple sequential AT commands for reverse engineering or vehicle interrogation and response. Example: To write a Script to monitor all data packets on the vehicles Controller Area Network (CAN) bus, the user would simply title the script Monitor, then add the following to the script field; ATR0 ATMA, then select Save From the Script Command window, select Monitor and watch the data packets stream on the Terminal Display.
