It enables to report any unexpected event with its full details. To that effect, log files should always be included! With these log files we can replicate any of these situations, which greatly speeds-up the analysis and resolution processes. It also enables users to suggest that a change or a further improvement is made to the ESI[tronic] 2.0 software. The ESI[tronic] Tickets will then also be forwarded to our Marketing teams. From 2016/3, the ESI[tronic] Ticket system is getting even simpler: Tickets can be directly sent from the ESI[tronic] 2.0 software itself, they do not have to be sent by an own account any more. The only requirement is that the ESI[tronic] 2.0 software is connected to the internet and that an address is shared so we are able to respond directly. Features such as saving the ESI[tronic] Ticket to the PC or printing the ESI[tronic] Ticket remain available in case users want to keep trace of the ESI[tronic] Tickets that they have sent.

3 Simplify ESI Online downloads from 2017 With the launch of ESI[tronic] 2.0 version 2016/2, the start-up procedure of ESI[tronic] and KTS has become much easier. Since then the user is guided through the linked steps of the installation, licensing and KTS configuration. Further significant enhancements will be introduced in the first quarter of Among other features, we will release the new ESI[tronic] 2.0 online updates. From the first quarter on, (Expected from Version 2017/2) all ESI[tronic] 2.0 updates including ESI[tronic] Truck and ESI[tronic] Bike can be performed easily and conveniently by using online downloads. DVDs are no longer required for installation. The online updates will be performed using the new Diagnostics Download Manager (DDM). The customer is able to choose between two download variants: ECU Diagnosis intermediate updates (SD) Main and intermediate updates for all ESI[tronic] information types Important: The new DDM will no longer support Windows XP, and the support of ESI[tronic] 2.0 for Windows XP will be terminated at the end of 2017 (Microsoft already stopped supporting Windows XP in 2015). (XP users can still in 2017 use ESI 2.0, but without intermediate updates) The updates will automatically be downloaded in the background to ensure the daily work in the workshop is not disturbed. The installation can be made when best suitable, ensuring that ESI[tronic] 2.0 always remains up to date. Read and Delete fault codes in same window Deleting fault codes is now possible in the same window as you read fault codes. This is another feature that saves time and optimizes your daily operations. A Delete button is now available which enables the deletion of fault codes for the respective ECU. Note: The Instructions button was removed and replaced by direct links to SIS which are placed on the fault code description.

Whether needed for regular backups or when changing your PC, just select the function by clicking on the button in the top-right corner - see image - and choose your desired save or restore location. Sometimes Windows keeps some dll-files open which will prevent the update process from writing all files to the hard drive and end up with a faulty installation that needs to be deleted. If a faulty installation has occurred, you MUST delete ESI from the setup program and perform a new installation. Make sure no ANTIVIRUS is running. In some cases, the antivirus will prevent overwriting of certain system files, which are needed for the update. Do NOT connect the USB cable to KTS 540/560/570/590 modules before or during an update. Firmware update is not performed during the update. KTS firmware is updated first time you start SD after an update. Connecting the USB during an update may result in a faulty DDC configuration.
