DO NOT use a liquid, spray, or wet cloth to clean the escutcheon! If liquids enter the scanner, they will oxidize and permanently damage its components. Use a dry cloth only. DO NOT paint the escutcheon with any method or substance. Failure to follow these instructions will immediately void the warranty. ESCUTCHEON FUNCTIONS Unless otherwise specified, all of the functions described in this manual refer to both PROTECTED-duplication and FREE-duplication TAGS (transponder keys). The escutcheon with color display can be connected to Mottura s powered XMODE lock on the inside of the door to replace the -key escutcheon. It can be used to open and close the lock from inside the door, and can fully manage all of the available lock functions plus the ones used by means of the internal -key escutcheon. Specifically, this visual interface displays lock movement phases (opening and closing), any errors that may be generated during these phases, lock and door status, power supply status, and programming access.

9 . MEMORIZED TAG ATTRIBUTES (FOR PROTECTED SYSTEMS ONLY) 1 At door open, press any activate the menu. 2 Press "E" (TAG Keys). The assigned and changeable attributes are: Press to scroll menu. - HIERARCHY (Type) defines whether the TAG is "Master" or "Service" - GROUP lets you assign a TAG in the system to a defined group and then to time slots. By default, the TAG belong to group zero, i.e., DO NOT belong to any group. For more information, see chapter 17 (TAG IN TIME SLOT). - ENABLE lets you exclude or reinsert a single TAG from/into the system without having to delete it from memory. This function is essential: if a TAG is disabled with this function it NEVER can have access to the lock, even if inserted in the access check. 8A There are no TAG in memory. 8B Analysis of TAG in memory. Selecting this item in the absence of the keypad has no effect on keypad management of codes. Remember that code insertion from the keypad can be managed directly from the external escutcheon, as described in the XMODE lock USER manual (Chapter 8 Lock operation with keypad) ENTERING PROGRAMMING MODE 1At door open, press any 2 activate the menu. You can insert multiple codes from the external keypad without additional confirmations on the display (max. 100 codes). When insertion is done, press "E" (End) on the escutcheon display to return to the main menu. 11. TIME SLOT BACK STOP This function lets you switch from the work mode set on the lock (AUTOMATIC, OPEN/CLOSE, or LATCHBOLTS ONLY) to DAY CLOSURE mode (closing of door with lock spring latch only) for a time interval that you can program as necessary. When the time expires the previously set mode is restored. 1At door open, press any 2 activate the menu. Press until (Other functions) and press "E". 30 17. TAGS IN TIME SLOT ATTENTION: this function is available ONLY for protected TAG systems (GREEN Card + YELLOW Card). For access control, you have to assign one or more TAG keys to a group (maximum groups). The groups are named with letters (A, B, C, D, E, F), and each group can be assigned four time slots for each day of the week. IMPORTANT: the clock/calendar must be set correctly before set time slots. By default there is a group called group zero that is not subject to any time restriction: in other words, the access-enabled without any time restrictions. Sat C By using the protected TAG code numbers (1 to 2), you can program the TAG attributes in order to assign them to a specific group. USE GROUP TAG KEY Cleaning staff A 1 (with all its duplicates) Cafeteria staff B 2 (with all its duplicates) Maintenance staff C 7 NO RESTRICTIONS Persons in groups A and B have a certain number of TAGS with the same code, whereas those in groups C and 0 ( zero, which has no restrictions) have a TAG with a different code for each person. MECHANICAL STICKING OF LOCK Door is not completely closed and bolts cannot do entire stroke; possible obstruction to travel of switchlocks bar. Close the door completely. Check if there are any obstructions on the striker plate and/or bar plates. Motor has exceeded maximum drive time because bolts are not in correct position or because motor drive mechanism is not perfectly engaged after manual operation with cylinder. Open/Close the lock completely (manually with cylinder). Message <POS> at top means that lock, at start of operation, is not in correct position for recognition by system following (for example) an incomplete manual operation with the cylinder. Open/Close the lock completely (manually with cylinder). Spring latch stayed ractioned at end of an operation and is not in correct position. Message may end earlier if spring latch returns to its correct position. With door open, manually check smooth movement of spring latch.
