1 Introduction The purpose of this guide is to allow users and UpSlide Administrators to share library and customizations in a SharePoint Library.

3 1 Introduction The purpose of this guide is to allow users and UpSlide Administrators to share library and customizations in a SharePoint Library. Three main points will be addressed in this guide: Create an Application in Azure Active Directory, Register this application on SharePoint Online, Configure UpSlide to use this application to access SharePoint Library. 2 Create an Application in Azure Active Directory This part will talk about creating Azure AD Application to be able to retrieve it on SharePoint. 2.1 Connect to Azure Portal Connect to your Azure Portal ( using your Office 365 Tenant Admin credentials: 3 10

4 2.2 Create Application Once connected, go to Azure Active Directory on the left Sidebar: Go to App Registration tab on the sidebar and click on New Application registration: 4 10

3 SharePoint Configuration To work in UpSlide, the Azure Application needs to have the rights on a SharePoint Site: It can be a Root Site Collection A Subsite from a Site Collection We recommend

7 Be Careful: If you don t copy this key just after the save, you won t be able to find it again. Azure AD Application Setup is done, next step is to allow this application to access a specific SharePoint Site. 3 SharePoint Configuration To work in UpSlide, the Azure Application needs to have the rights on a SharePoint Site: It can be a Root Site Collection A Subsite from a Site Collection We recommend creating a subsite specially for UpSlide if you want to restrict the Application Access. Next step will be to register the application on the SharePoint Site, for this you will need to enter the following URL: On the next page, you ll be asked for the Application ID of the Azure App created before, this information is available in Azure AD Portal: 7 10

8 Enter the Application ID in the Page, and click on Search: On the App s Permissions Request XML, you will need to enter an XML snippet which will define the rights of the application, take this one: <AppPermissionRequests AllowAppOnlyPolicy="true"> <AppPermissionRequest Scope=" Right="Write" /> </AppPermissionRequests> This XML Snippet will allow the application to have Read/Write Access on the SharePoint Site. 8 10

9 Click on Create, on the next step you will need to approve the application: The Application is now registered in SharePoint Site. 4 Configure UpSlide the SharePoint Application To setup UpSlide for using SharePoint, a file named SharePointSettings.xml need to be created on this folder: C:\ProgramData\UpSlide if using All Users Installation C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Roaming\UpSlide if using a Single User Installation This file will be a XML file, with these contents: <AppId>YOURAPPID</AppId> <AppSecret>YOURAPPSECRET</AppSecret> If needed, you can send us the App ID and the AppSecret, to have this file packaged on the installation. 9 10
