2 After finishing the lab, the student will practice: Creating GUI with different controls Declaring event handler for different controls Problem description: Create Window Form Application for the Bank System. It contains 3 forms described as follows: 1- Main Form: The first form will appear when user opens the application. a) This form contains the following controls: PictureBox to display picture. Label that contains "Welcome to Bank System" text such as the text size is 10 point and text style is bold. Two buttons. One button allows to display the form to add a new Account and the other button allows to open form list all accounts. Note: all controls must have meaningful name. Figure 1: Main form b) Add event handler to Add_Account Button to show another form "AddForm". c) Add event handler to Display_Account Button to show another form "DisplayForm".
3 2- AddForm: This form will allow the user to enter the account information and then can add this account to a branch. a) The form contains the following controls: Label that contains "Add New Account" text. The text size is set to 10 point and text style is bold. Label that contains "Account NO." text. Textbox for Account number. The account number must be generated as sequential number such as first account take number 1 and second account take number 2 etc. This textbox could not be changed by user (Enable=false) Label that contains "Owner name: " text. Textbox that allow the user to enter the owner name. Label that contain "Balance: " text. Textbox that allows the user to enter a balance of the account. GroupBox that contains two radiobutton to specified account type First radiobutton used to determine if the account is a checking Account Second radiobutton to determine if the account is a saving Account Label to "amount of fee" or "interest rate" text. When the type of the account is not specified then this label will not contain text. Textbox that allow to user to enter fee or interest rate of the account. When the type of the account not determineed then this TextBox will not be shown. (Visible=false) Two buttons. One is used to add a new Account and the second is to clear all fields. Note: all controls must be renaming to meaningful name. Figure 2: Add Form
4 b) Add event handler to Add Button to take information from form and create new account to branch. NOTE: When user enters invalid data then message box will appear and giving details about the error. Otherwise, information will be added normally and the message add successfully appears to the user. * Use exception handler. 5 d) Add an event handler when change between checkingaccount and SavignAcount to display "amount of fee:" when the user chooses checkingaccount OR display "interest rate:" when user choose SavingAccount. and set visibility of textbox to true. Figure 5: Add Form at runtime when choose SavingAccount Figure 6: Add Form at runtime when choose CheckingAccount 3- DisplayForm: This form will show all accounts in branch. a) The form contains only one control: DataGridView to show all accounts as following. 6 Problem description: Create a Window Form Application to calculate AL-Zakat amount. It contains 2 forms as the following: 1. Main Form: The first form will appear when the user opens application. a) This form contains the following controls: Label that contains "Welcome to AL-Zakat calculator " text and the text size is 10 point and text style is bold. One buttons "Enter" button to open another form "calculatorform". Figure 8:Main Form in Al-zakat app b) Add event handler to Enter Button to show another form "CalculatorForm". 2. CalculatorForm: This form will allow the user to enter the amount then application calculates AL-Zakat amount. a) This form contains the following controls: A label that contains "amount " text. One button "calculate" button to calculate AL-Zakat amount and show in label. Label that contains at the beginning "Amount of AL-Zakat is " text. Figure 9: Calculator Form
7 b) Add event handler to Calculate button to take amount of money and calculate AL-Zakat as follows (amount of AL-Zakat = amount of money * (2.5/100)). NOTE: When user enters invalid amount then message box will appear to show error in amount. * Use exception handler.
