3 Zone Wing Application Release Notes Anti-passback soft start functionality This feature supports the introduction of anti-passback into facilities which operate 24/7. Soft start functionality accepts one parameter, a timestamp. Up to that timestamp, all users will be able to exit an anti-passback zone (exiting a zone is defined as performing a registration on a reader configured as an exit reader for that anti-passback zone). After the timestamp, the anti-passback will come to full effect. Please note that this applies only to anti-passback restrictions. All of the other security restrictions (profiles, schedules, etc ) are not affected by this parameter. To configure the rule in the portal, Time&Space version or higher is needed. Start time parameter on anti-passback rule Refresh table on Zone Door Settings view Zone Door Settings view on Zone Wing Configuration portal can now be manually or automatically (on predefined time periods) refreshed. This option was added to better reflect the current Zone Door state. The information in the table newer clears if the device is unplugged. Table refresh

19 Zone Wing Application Release Notes 1.5 Version 2.30 What's New in Version 2.30.a

Zone Wing Application - Release Notes What's New in Version 2.30.a Configurable wiegand decoder Due to the increasing amount of 3rd party readers and different wiegand formats they are using we have developed a configurable wiegand decoder. This enables us to support different wiegand formats with only a firmware setting. The configurable decoder supports wiegand formats up to 63 bits in length, odd and even parity calculations, facility code and badge ID decoding. Another issue were certain incompatibilities with 3rd party hardware. Specifically, how card information is being handled and sent into the T&S system. Some of the hardware uses a combination of facility code and badge id to represent a card registration, some use only the badge id. In order to enable better compatibility we have developed customizable data handling. Users of Z1W can now configure how the card information will be presented (badge id only, FC only or both) to the T&S software. This will make our hardware more compatible with 3rd party hardware. Custom card setting is uploaded to the device using custom configuration functionality. The current list of decoder settings covers 4 different card formats (Northern 34 bit, No Parity Northern 34 bit, Ultra Light 56 bit and Wiegand 44 bit) which are are available on Time and Access Tech Forum. Since the configuration files are developed exclusively by Spica, please contact our Support for new card formats. Custom card settings

21 Zone Wing Application Release Notes 1.6 Version 2.20 What's New in Version 2.20.a Service Release 2.20.b Service Release 2.20.c Service Release 2.20.d

Zone Wing Application - Release Notes What's New in Version 2.20.a Output Toggle Mode within periods Toggle mode functionality can now be limited with periods presented as access schedules in the system. The configuration is set through the new view in Device Administration Portal, called Output Advanced Settings which is available in Time&Space 8.60 or higher. Toogle mode dialogue in DAP

23 Zone Wing Application Release Notes Badge expiration validation Validation of a time parameter which can be set as part of badge expiration did not work correct due to wrong validation of system time zone. Factory reset caused system malfunction A combination of custom configuration script procedure with the System Reset action could cause that the application fell into non-responsive state (application continuously restarted).

Zone Wing Application - Release Notes Service Release 2.20.b Extended custom configuration with support for Deister readers Custom configuration script functionality has been expanded with the support for Deister readers with 56-bit Wiegand configuration. For more information, check Zone Access User's Manual. False clocking validation on deactivated output If output was deactivated by a trigger and user has made a registration on the corresponding reader, than the reader signalized access granted instead of access denied. The controller also sent access granted message to the system, but the output did not activate. Multiple toggle modes with multiple schedules Validation of toggle mode end time did not work properly when multiple toggle rules with different schedules were set on the same controller.

25 Zone Wing Application Release Notes Service Release 2.20.c Windows update breaks communication with Zone Wing Windows 10 update KB introduced some changes, which caused DAP's communication with Zone Wing to fail. The issue was found in the communication interface of Zone Wing. This fix does not affect the performance of Time&Space system in anyway.

Zone Wing Application - Release Notes Service Release 2.20.d Toggle mode backwards compatibility We have added back a legacy option for toggle mode where the mode is enabled if 99 value is set as pulse time on the output. This was brought back because of Time&Space 8.50, which does not have the GUI option for setting this option. Invalid ID from RXR remotes There was an issue with the way registrations using RXR remotes were decoded. The result was that the decoded ID was not equal to the actual RXR remote ID.

27 Zone Wing Application Release Notes 1.7 Version 2.10 What's New in Version 2.10.a Service Release 2.10.b Service Release 2.10.c

Zone Wing Application - Release Notes What's New in Version 2.10.a Output Toggle Mode A new functionality was added for output management, called Toggle Mode. The mode functions in a way that a positive registration changes an output state (On/Off) without a timed change back to original state. Real life usage scenario for this functionality could be the following situation: A professor unlocks lecture room doors at the beginning of lectures and locks them at the end with a second registration on the terminal. Configurable Event Notifications A device can now be configured to send out only responses for accepted registrations while all others messages are ignored. This functionality is usually used when we want to control elevator with an access controller.

29 Zone Wing Application Release Notes Badge Filtering Access control logic was extended and can now take actions based on the badge ID filtering and not only on the direct badge ID comparison. With this feature, it is possible to specify a range of badge ID's (for example from to ) which have access rights on the device without the need to insert them into system database.

Zone Wing Application - Release Notes Service Release 2.10.b Web Administration Portal redesign Web Administration Portal has been redesigned in order to offer better usability. We have implemented the following changes: New GUI, Added basic parameters which monitor the system (CPU, Storage, Memory), Added general set of actions for managing the controller (Restart Zone Wing application, Reboot OS, System Reset, Factory Reset), Custom configuration script can now be uploaded through the portal, Application's error and restart log are now available. Output Toggle Mode activated by input Output toggle mode can now also be activated with an input which is set as the activator. Custom Configuration compatibility Compatibility of some custom configuration settings has been improved, meaning that now multiple configurations can be valid at the same time (e.g. Two Man Rule and Keyboard Access). Improved application stability Stability of Zone Wing application has been improved, since now the system can handle invalid badge formats which can be sent from defected reader or system misconfiguration. Database initialization During the application upgrade process system database was not properly initialized. Output status change from SW Output status change from Locked to Open did not work properly if triggered from SW (e.g. Visual Space Manager). Update of access profiles In some cases, the update of access schedules did not work well if some access schedules were already defined on the point.

31 Zone Wing Application Release Notes

Zone Wing Application - Release Notes Service Release 2.10.c Discontinued support for Internet Explorer 9 in Zone Wing Configuration portal With Zone Wing application version 2.10.c, interactive support for Internet Explorer 9 in Zone Wing Configuration portal has been discontinued. This means that Spica will no longer provide compatibility of it's products with these versions of the browser. Upgrade from 1.6.x application malfunctioned If Zone Wing application was upgraded from 1.6 version to 2.10, the connection in DAP could not be established due to the lack of system permissions on the device. Workaround was to upgrade first to 2.00 version and than to Presentation of off-line registrations/alarms in the system When off-line registrations or alarms were transferred to the system, they were marked as on-line. Application stability improved Stability of application has been improved in case of high stress environments.

33 Zone Wing Application Release Notes 1.8 Version 2.0 What's New in Version 2.0.a Service Release 2.0.b (Internal service release) Service Release 2.0.c (Internal service release) Service Release 2.0.d (Internal service release) Service Release 2.0.e (Internal service release) Service Release 2.0.f (Internal service release) Service Release 2.0.g (Internal service release) Service Release 2.0.h (Internal service release) Service Release 2.0.i Service Release 2.0.j Service Release 2.0.k Service Release 2.0.m

Zone Wing Application - Release Notes What's New in Version 2.0.a Web Administration Portal To ease up the administration of Zone Access controller, we have introduced web administration portal through which the most important maintenance and monitoring tasks can be done. Web Administration Portal SSL protocol encryption Communication between Zone Access controller and Device Administration Portal is now encrypted by TLS protocol. By default a public certificate is used, however for high secure environments also a private certificate can be set. Keep in mind, that this feature also requires Time&Space system 8.50 or higher.

35 Zone Wing Application Release Notes TLS protocol encryption CAN troubleshooting tool The web portal also has a notable feature we call CAN troubleshooting tool. The tool enables service engineers to gain a deeper insight into the communication between the Z1W and Z1D units. This eases debugging of difficult installations on the field. Support for RXR readers We have implemented support for RXR radio transceivers. They are an RF based technology that enables operating various actions with a use of remote control keys. The communication type used with the transceivers is Data Clock. Access Schedule Update There was an issue with updating access schedules on the wing controller when Access schedule was changed in the Time&Space Manager.

Zone Wing Application - Release Notes Service Release 2.0.i Access Profiles update If access profile for a single user on one or more channels was added, than access rights for other channels were removed.

37 Zone Wing Application Release Notes Service Release 2.0.j Communication port Zone Wing controller now communicates with DAP over 1101 or 1102 port. USB Rescue Key USB rescue key did not work properly.

Zone Wing Application - Release Notes Service Release 2.0.k USB Rescue Key USB rescue key did not work if created on Windows OS.

39 Zone Wing Application Release Notes Service Release 2.0.m Network Settings Since the initial release, Wing controller had 2 IP addresses (dynamic and static). This combination should ease up network set up and prevent misconfiguration scenarios. However, it turned up that this configuration failed in some environments where more strict network rules were in place. All this led us to change the network configuration to a single IP mode. Now Wing operates either with a dynamic or static IP address. For the compatibility matters, 2 IP address are kept after the upgrade from older version and the single IP mode must be manually set using Spica Device Manager, Web Administration Portal or USB rescue key. USB Rescue Key We have improved the support of setting single IP network settings with the help of a USB key. This is an effective way of solving any network misconfiguration scenarios. Keyboard Access Manual badge ID entry did not work on readers with the keypad. Support is now enabled using custom configuration settings and applies for Wiegand and Data Clock technologies. Zone Wing Application upgrade via Web Administration Portal Upgrade of Zone Wing application did not work properly if it was executed from the web portal. Custom Configuration Script Custom configuration script did not work if the script did not end with an empty line. Now the script works if empty line is included or not.
