2 Notes Actian PSQL Vx Server 1. A single product key will support 32- and 64-bit Windows and Linux versions of PSQL Vx Server. Media will include 32- and 64-bit Windows and Linux versions of PSQL Vx Server. Effective July 1st, Bit switch is not required to move from 32- to 64-bit. 4. PSQL Vx Server 12 size is measured by Data in Use only. 5. A license for Actian Backup Agent is included with PSQL Vx Server. Backup Agent executables are included in Windows versions of PSQL Vx Server. Linux executables of Backup Agent must be downloaded separately from PSQL Vx Server. 6. Support for Microsoft Volume Shadow Copy Service (VSS) is included with PSQL Vx Server for Windows. Actian PSQL Vx Data in Use Increases Actian DataExchange Realtime Backup Edition 2. Session Count Increases and Data in Use Increases are not eligible for upgrade. 3. Time-limited Session Count Increases and Time-limited Data in Use Count Increases have a term of 60 days from the day the product key is authorized. 4. Time-limited Session Count Increases and Time-limited Data in Use Count Increases cannot be moved to another machine after being authorized. Actian PSQL Vx Server Size Increases 1. PSQL Vx Server Size increases apply only to size changes within the same version of PSQL Vx Server. For example, moving from Small to Medium in PSQL Vx Server Size decreases are not allowed. Actian PSQL Vx Server 12 Data in Use Increases (Time-Limited) 1. Sidegrades are moving from Actian PSQL Server to the same version number of Actian PSQL Vx Server. For example, moving from PSQL v12 Server to PSQL Vx Server 12 is a sidegrade. 2. Upgrades are moving from an older version of PSQL Vx or PSQL Server to a newer version of PSQL Vx Server. For example, moving from PSQL v11 Server to PSQL Vx Server 12 is an upgrade 3. Upgrades or sidegrades to PSQL Vx Server from PSQL Server may only occur in the user-count to size range combinations published in this price list. For example, 6-user PSQL Server may only upgrade or sidegrade to PSQL Vx Server Small. 4. To move from a PSQL Server user count to another PSQL Vx Server Size, first sidegrade or upgrade to PSQL Vx Server then increase to the preferred PSQL Vx Server size. 5. For example, to move from 6-user PSQL Server v11 to PSQL Vx Server 12 Medium: 1) first upgrade from PSQL Server v11 to PSQL Vx Server 12 Small, then 2) increase from PSQL Vx Small to PSQL Vx Medium. 6. PSQL Server UCI s cannot be upgraded to PSQL Vx Server. Actian PSQL Vx Server 12 Size Increase Pricing 1. A single product key will support 32- and 64-bit Windows and Linux versions of PSQL v11.2 and later. Media will ship with 32- and 64-bit Windows and Linux versions of PSQL Server. 2. Standard product keys may be used on only one machine (physical or virtual) at a time. Multi-host product keys may be used on the number of concurrent machines allowed by the license. (Typically two machines.) Contact Actian for customers who have multi-host requirements for more than two machines at the same time. 3. Bit switch is not required to move from 32- to 64-bit.

3 4. 32-bit PSQL Server for Windows includes 32-bit Client. 64-bit PSQL Server for Windows includes 32- and 64-bit Clients. 5. Microsoft licensing for Windows Vista, Windows 7 and Windows 8 may limit the acceptable user count for PSQL to a smaller range (for example 6, 10 and 20) than is shown in this price list. 6. For user counts greater than 500, please contact Actian. 7. A license for Actian Backup Agent is included with PSQL Server beginning with PSQL v11 SP2. Backup Agent executables are included in Windows versions beginning with PSQL v11.2. Linux executables of Backup Agent must be downloaded separately. 8. Support for Microsoft Volume Shadow Copy Service (VSS) is included beginning with PSQL v Call for pricing of PSQL hardcopy documentation. Actian PSQL Server User Count Increases (UCI s) 1. UCI s are not eligible for upgrade. 2. UCI s can only be added to an existing PSQL Server installation. 3. PSQL UCI s must match the version of the existing PSQL Server installation. 4. Product keys may be used on only one machine (physical or virtual) at a time. Product keys must be deauthorized before being used to authorize another instance of PSQL. 5. No media is included. Actian PSQL Server Upgrades from Previous Versions 1. Proof of purchase of installed version of PSQL (the version being upgraded) is required. 2. Upgrades must be of the same user count or one level higher than the installed base server license. Reducing user count during an upgrade is not allowed. 3. UCI s are not eligible for upgrade. 4. It is permissible, based on user count, to upgrade to the next level user count. Validation is required to upgrade to the next level. 5. Upgrades are applicable across OS platforms (from Windows to Linux or Linux to Windows). Actian PSQL Workgroup and User Count Increases 1. PSQL Workgroup licenses are per machine where data is accessed by the Workgroup engine. For example, a 5-user Workgroup license will allow 5 concurrent users to access one PSQL Workgroup acting as a database server on one machine. 2. Enabling additional machines in a network to act as database servers requires the purchase of additional Workgroup licenses 3. Increasing the number of concurrent users allowed requires the purchase of Workgroup User Count Increases (UCI s). Maximum allowable user count for Workgroup is 5. Actian PSQL Workgroup Deployment Licenses 1. Deployment Licenses (25, 100, 1000, Unlimited Count) are available directly from Actian or through authorized distributors in EMEAA. 2. Workgroup Deployment Licenses may be used to deploy multiple User Counts of 1, 3 and 5, and User Count Increases of 1 and Workgroup Deployment Packs used to create Workgroup licenses must be added to the Workgroup Deployment Portal at 4. Internet access and registration may be required for product authorization or license distribution. Actian AuditMaster 1. AuditMaster v8.x runs on Actian PSQL v11.x and Actian PSQL Vx Server 11.x.

4 2. AuditMaster v8.x is licensed on a per server basis regardless of user count. Actian Backup Agent 1. A license for Backup Agent v3.1 or later is included in the license for PSQL Vx Server 12.x and PSQL Server v12.x or later. 2. Backup Agent does not require a product key when used with PSQL Vx Server 11.x or PSQL Server v11.2 or later. 3. Backup Agent v3.x requires PSQL v11.0 or higher. 4. Backup Agent for Workgroup is licensed on a per Workgroup basis regardless of user count. Actian DataExchange Real-Time Backup Edition 1. DataExchange Real-Time Backup Edition does not include an Actian PSQL database license. Purchasers of DataExchange Real-Time Backup must provide or purchase both a primary and backup database license. 2. DataExchange v5.x requires Actian PSQL v11.x or Actian PSQL Vx Server 11.x 3. DataExchange v5.x is licensed on a per server basis regardless of server user count. 4. DataExchange Real-Time Backup Edition includes one (1) DataExchange license for use with two (2) PSQL database engines (primary and backup). 5. DataExchange Real-Time Backup Edition engines are restricted to 1-way replication in a network of two (2) database engines only. 6. The PSQL backup database can be a PSQL Workgroup, PSQL Server, or PSQL Vx Server with user count or size determined by the customer s business requirements. Actian DataExchange Data Synchronization Edition 1. DataExchange Data Synchronization Edition licenses are required for each PSQL database engine participating in a replication network. For example, if you have three PSQL database engines in your replication network, you need three copies of DataExchange Data Synchronization - one for each PSQL database engine. 2. DataExchange Synchronization Edition supports only Btrieve level replication. 3. DataExchange v5.x requires PSQL v11.x or PSQL Vx Server 11.x. 4. DataExchange v5.x is licensed on a per server basis regardless of user count. Actian PSQL Software Developer License 1. PSQL SDL SKU s for Workgroup, Server and Vx must be ordered as a bundle (Workgroup, Server, Vx Server) and may not be ordered separately. 2. License term for PSQL SDL products is one year. Licenses expire 365 days after they are created. 3. All SDL licenses are restricted to development use only. 4. To qualify for the PSQL SDL, customers must provide proof of registration in the PSQL Developer s Program. Customers who register will receive an reply after submitting the form. The confirmation can be used as proof of registration. Actian PSQL Media 1. PSQL media only kits are priced by shipping charge. 2. Per order shipping charges for media are calculated in increments of 10 units. For example, shipping charge for 1 unit is the same as the charge for 10 units. 3. No returns are allowed for PSQL media only kits. 4. A PSQL media only kit does not include a serial number or product authorization key. It is the responsibility of the partner to deliver the serial number and product key to the end user customer.

5 Actian PSQL Insurance 1. PSQL Insurance may be used up to three times with a maximum term of seven days each time. 2. PSQL Insurance may be used on three different machines at the same time, on one machine three times, or a combination of one and two machines so long as the number of uses does not exceed three. 3. To increase the number of users covered with PSQL Insurance, purchase PSQL Insurance User Count Increases. PSQL Database Support Offerings 1. Only products in this Price List are eligible for support. 2. Call for Per Incident Support pricing for other PSQL versions. 3. For other than Per Incident support, contract terms for database support are for 12 months or until the resolution of the allocated service tickets, whichever comes first. 4. Per Incident, Bronze, and Silver support offerings are not eligible for discount. 5. All Server and Workgroup products use Product Authorization. 2. Standard product keys may be authorized on only one machine (physical or virtual) at a time. Multi-host product keys may be used on the number of concurrent machines allowed by the license. (Typically two machines. Contact Actian for customers who have multi-host requirements for more than two machines at the same time.) 3. Always deauthorize keys before uninstalling PSQL. 4. Always deauthorize keys before making any changes to the hardware. Versions of PSQL that use Product Authorization check hardware configurations during engine startup. If the hardware configuration has been changed, the product key state may change to Failed Validation. The database will continue to function as long as the key remains in a Failed Validation state. 5. If the Failed Validation state has not been corrected in 14 days (PSQL Server) or 30 days (PSQL Vx Server), the product key may become Disabled and will need to be repaired by the end user or by Actian PSQL Support. 6. A Failed Validation state can be corrected by the end user using the Repair feature of the PSQL License Administrator, or by the vendor who created the key (Actian PSQL Support for keys where Vendor = 0, Actian PSQL OEM for keys where Vendor is something other than 0). 7. A standard PSQL v11 Server product key can be authorized up to 30 times and deauthorized up to 30 times. A standard PSQL Vx Server product key can be authorized up to 10,000 times and deauthorized up to 10,000 times. 8. For more information on product authorization: QL.pdf
