Simply select the server that best meets your needs, purchase either a 1-year or a 3-year subscription of SUSE Linux Enterprise Server for up to 32 CPU sockets, and purchase the ISSLE DVD media kit. ISSLE gives you your choice of deploying with SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 9 or 10. 2 Key prerequisites ISSLE is a media kit that must be ordered with a new SUSE Linux Enterprise Server subscription for up to 32 CPU sockets offering. The SUSE Linux Enterprise Server subscription offering must be ordered with new System x or BladeCenter hardware. The server hardware must support the version of SUSE Enterprise Linux you will deploy on the server. This media kit contains both DVD and CD media. It is recommended that an optical DVD drive be configured with the server. Planned availability date April 13, 2007 Description Novell's ISSLE with IBM System x delivers all the advantages of Linux and gets you set up in minutes, not hours. It has two setup options: File/Print Web Application and Database Web Application using IBM WebSphere Application Server Community Edition and PHP, providing Java and PHP application serving Database using IBM DB2 Express-C 9, providing both relational and XML database This solution from IBM and Novell is: Affordable. ISSLE offers significant price savings when compared to Microsoft SQL Server and Windows Designed for Windows Integration. Out of the box, ISSLE is very simple to integrate into your Windows environment. Novell has worked with Centeris to pre-integrate the Centeris Likewise agents and make it simple to deploy the server, integrate it with Active Directory, and manage the server just as you would a Windows server all without needing to train your administrators. Once the product is registered, you can download updates to SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 9 or SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 10 directly from Novell. The Integrated Stack for SUSE Linux Enterprise media kit contains all required DVDs and CDs, including SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 9 and 10. ISSLE images are not available for download from IBM or Novell. New licenses License orders for the program numbers associated with the operating systems in this announcement can be ordered only in conjunction with a new system order on which the selected operating system has been announced as an offering. Shipment of materials associated with operating systems in this announcement when ordered with a new system will be included with the system unit based on available medium delivery options offered: preinstalled, preinstalled with backup media, or physical media only where preinstall is not offered. Billing for the operating systems will occur under the licensed program order number contained in this announcement. Program delivery Except where noted, configuration aids, either IBM Configurator for e-business or IBM Hardware Configurator, must be used for creation of valid software and hardware orders for the offerings in this announcement as well as other referenced and affiliated announcement offerings. The license offerings must be ordered in conjunction with a new system order on which the selected operating system has been announced as an offering.
