EzyChart 6 will enable you to display charts and apply technical Indicators and drawing tools on the markets you have either subscribed to in BodhiGold or imported from another data source.

2 Introduction This Quick Start Guide will take you through the installation process of EzyChart 6 up to the point of opening a chart. For further detailed instructions please refer to the Contents and Tutorials accessible from the Help menu within the program. EzyChart 6 will enable you to display charts and apply technical Indicators and drawing tools on the markets you have either subscribed to in BodhiGold or imported from another data source. Part 1: Installing EzyChart 6 1. From a Web-link: Click on the link or type the link directly into your web browser. When the web page opens, click on the Download EzySoftware button and save the EzySoftware.exe file to your Windows Desktop. When the download is complete double-click on the EzySoftware.exe file on your desktop to start the installation. From a CD: Insert the EzyChart 6 CD into your CD-Rom drive. The installation menu should automatically display. Click on the EzySoftware link to start the installation. 2. Click the Next button. 3. Read the License Agreement then select I accept the agreement then click the Next button. 2

De-select any option you do not require before clicking the Next button.

3 4. Click the Next button to install the software to the default directory. 5. When the Select Components window appears you will notice that it will install EzyChart, EzyAnalyser and the trial data. De-select any option you do not require before clicking the Next button. Note: If you are trialling this software then you will need the trial data, which includes 5 years of stocks from the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX) All Ordinaries plus Indexes. 6. Click the Next button to create an Ezy Software 6 menu folder. 3

4 7. Click the Next button to create desktop icons. 8. Click the Install button to install the software. 9. Click the Next button then click the Finish button to exit the installer software. 4

Once purchased: To register, click the Register button on the Registration bar.

5 Part 2: Registering EzyChart 6 1. On trial: The program will run for 30-days and does not require registering. When you open EzyChart you will see a Registration bar at the bottom of the screen that tells how much longer your trial has to run. 2. Once purchased: To register, click the Register button on the Registration bar. This will display the Registration Wizard, contact JustData with the Installation Code that appears at the top of this window. When JustData have provided you with your User ID click on the Next button and enter it in the box provided. Then click the Next button to finish the registration process. 5

6 Part 3: Data Service Setup 1. BodhiGold: This software performs best with UltraEzy format data. If you have a JustData history CD, load this using the directions that came with the CD or if you are an existing BodhiGold data client you can easily create an UltraEzy database from your existing database by doing the following: Click on the BodhiGold icon on your desktop. Click on the Configure button. Under Data Distribution, tick the box beside UltraEzy (EZE) (leave your tick in any other formats you already have selected). Close [x] the window and then click on CatchUp (you may need to run a CatchUp twice). BodhiGold will download data and create the database for EzyChart Imported data: (not yet available) Part 4: Opening Charts Double-click on the EzyChart icon on your desktop to open the program. There are several ways to bring up a chart or group of charts in EzyChart. 1. Stock Selection Docker: Double-click on a code to open a chart. Drag-n-drop a code from the Stock Selection Docker to the Workspace. Select a code then click on the New Chart button at the bottom of the table on the Stock Selection Docker. In the Search Stock Code box, enter a code or change to Select on Name or Code and Name. When the code displays open as per above points. 6

At the top of the Stock Selection Docker, click the [+] beside a filter (i.e. Groups); then select (highlight) a group (i.e. S&P ASX All Ordinaries); then click the New Group button.

You can either scroll through these using the toolbar at the bottom of the charts or play them as Live Charts from the Home menu. 2.

A new group of charts will open under one tab containing charts for all the codes currently listed in the ASX S&P All Ordinaries. You can either scroll through these using the toolbar at the bottom of the charts or play them as Live Charts from the Home menu. 2. Open Workspace: From the Home menu in the Workspace section: Select Sector - this will automatically create GICS Sector charts under their respective Sector tabs for you to either scroll through or play as Live Charts. Select Industry Group - this will automatically create Industry Group charts under their respective Industry Group tabs. Part 5: Help for EzyChart 6 All help for EzyChart is electronic and available under the Help menu within the program. 1. Tutorials: Covers various topics. Including a Preview of the program and QuickStart. 2. Contents: This section will give detailed information on every aspect of the program. You will see help icon s throughout the program; click on these to get specific help in that area. ( under construction) 7
