5 Epicor Customer Profit Analyzer Installation Guide Getting Started Part I: Getting Started Welcome to the Epicor Customer Profit Analyzer Installation Guide. Use this installation guide to install the components required to run Epicor Customer Profit Analyzer. Review the process flow as an outline of what is required in order to install and configure Customer Profit Analyzer: Chapter 1: Verify Prerequisites Use this section to review the prerequisite tasks that must be completed prior to installing your Epicor applications. 1.1 Verify Software Requirements Use this section to review the required software that must be installed prior to installation. 1. Verify you have Windows Server 2008 R2 64-bit Standard installed on your server. 2. Verify that.net 4.0 is installed on your server. To do this, navigate to Start > Control Panel > Programs and Features and review the list of installed programs. If it is not installed, use the following steps to download and install it: a. Go to the Microsoft Download Center website. Download the latest version of.net 4.0. b. Use the instructions provided on the website to guide you through the installation process. Important Note that.net 4.0 must be installed prior to installing Internet Information Services (IIS). 3. Verify you have SQL Server 2008 R2 installed on your server. 5

6 Getting Started Epicor Customer Profit Analyzer Installation Guide 4. Verify that you have created a service login on the SQL Server where the Epicor Data Warehouse will be installed. This service login is used for both the Epicor Data Warehouse and Epicor EPM. For example, for the user name use EpicorDW to specify that this login is for the Epicor Data Warehouse. Note that you also need to know your SQL Server and instance names. 5. Verify that you have created an ERP service account in your ERP system. Verify that you know the user name and password for this service account. This is the account the Epicor Data Warehouse will use to access the ERP system. 6. Verify that you know your API Shared Key from your ERP system. Refer to your ERP documentation for instructions on retrieving your API Shared Key, if needed. 7. If you are installing the Epicor Data Warehouse on a separate server than where your ERP system is installed, you need to verify that round-trip communication is allowed. To do this, verify the following: Verify that the required ports are open on the firewall of that ERP server to allow communication to the ERP APi. Refer to your ERP documentation for details on which ports are required to be open. Verify that the port for the Epicor Data Warehouse is open on the firewall of the server where the Epicor Data Warehouse is installed to allow communication from the ERP system. You will also be asked to verify this port value after the installation. 8. For your ERP system, verify that you have the following minimum version installed: Eclipse version or higher Prophet 21 version or higher 9. If your ERP system is Prophet 21, you must install the Prophet 21 Middleware application prior to installing the Epicor Data Warehouse. The Prophet 21 Middleware version must match the Prophet 21 ERP version. See the Prophet 21 Middleware Installation Guide for instructions. 10. Verify that the Application Pool associated with the default website in IIS Manager is configured for.net Framework Configure Web Server Role Use these steps to configure the Web Server role. 1. On the server, open Server Manager. Select the Roles node. 2. In the Roles Summary section, verify if the Web Server role is listed. If this role is not listed, use the following steps to add the roles service and role features. If the role is listed, use the specific step regarding the Web Server dialog to verify that the required Web Server role features have been installed. 3. Click Add Roles and click Next. 4. On the Select Server Roles dialog, select Web Server (IIS). Click Next. 5. On the Introduction to Web Services (IIS) dialog, review the noted comments and click Next. 6

9 Epicor Customer Profit Analyzer Installation Guide Getting Started Chapter 2: Prepare Installation Files Use this section to prepare the installation files prior to installing your Epicor applications. 2.1 Download Installer Files 1. Login to the Epicor customer website. You can use this link: If you are an Epicor Eclipse customer, navigate to Support > Download Center > Customer Profit Analyzer. If you are an Epicor Prophet 21 customer, navigate to Support > File Center > Downloads > 12.x Downloads > Additional Downloads and Updates > Customer Prophet Analyzer. 2. Download one of the following files based on whether you are installing a new install or upgrading an existing install. New Install. Epicor CPA v Installation.zip Upgrade Install. Epicor CPA v Upgrade.zip 3. Extract the file. 9

10 Installation Epicor Customer Profit Analyzer Installation Guide Part II: Installation Use this section of the guide to install the components required for using Epicor Customer Profit Analyzer. Chapter 3: Install Epicor Data Warehouse Use these steps to install the Epicor Data Warehouse application onto your server. 3.1 Install Epicor Data Warehouse 1. Locate the Epicor Data Warehouse installer file. For example, locate the Epicor.Datawarehouse.Install.v exe file. Right-click and select Run as administrator. 2. The Epicor Data Warehouse Welcome dialog displays. Click the Next arrow. 3. The Select Destination Location dialog displays. Enter the location where you want to install the Data Warehouse. Note that you can only select the drive on which to install the software. The directory structure must remain unchanged. Click the Next arrow. Note If you are upgrading, make sure you select the drive where your existing installation is located. Your previous selections are retained and are displayed for each step. Click the Next arrow at each step to accept the existing settings and complete the upgrade. 4. The system verifies the location and confirms the install is ready to begin. Click Install. The files are installed. Note If prompted that the system requires IIS 7 to continue the installation process, click OK. Refer to the Prerequisites section for instructions to install IIS. You will need to restart the installation. 5. On the Customer Record dialog, enter your Domain Name. For the Name Your Account, enter the name of your account in the Data Warehouse. Click the Next arrow. Your entry is validated against the subscriber data. If it does not match, an error displays. Your dialog may look similar to the following: 10

11 Epicor Customer Profit Analyzer Installation Guide Installation 6. On the ERP Api Connection dialog, do the following: a. Enter the Server to identify the server where your ERP system is installed. b. Enter the Port (http) and Port (https) to identify where the ERP system is installed. c. For the User Name and Password, enter a valid ERP user name and password. This must be the ERP system account that you verified in the Prerequisites section of this guide. d. Enter the Api Shared Key for your ERP system. This must match the API Shared Key retrieved from your ERP system. e. Click the Next arrow. The Data Warehouse application attempts to use your account information to validate the connection to your ERP system through the Api connection. If a connection is successful, the installation continues. If a connection is not successful, you are prompted to validate your configuration entries and try again. Your dialog may look similar to the following: 11

On the SQL Server Location dialog, enter the name of the Server and Port to identify the SQL Server where you want to store the data warehouse databases. For the User Name and Password you must enter a valid SQL Server login, for example your SQL Server system account. Click the Next arrow. Note It is recommended that you record the Server Name and Port. You will be required to enter these values later during the installation of Customer Profit Analyzer. Your dialog may look similar to the following: 8. On the Web Server Information dialog, the website configuration information is displayed. a. The Port defaults to You can change this port, if necessary. 12

13 Epicor Customer Profit Analyzer Installation Guide Installation b. The Data Warehouse Home Page URL defaults to the URL home page for the machine where you are installing Data Warehouse. You can copy and save the URL to your desktop to quickly access version information, if desired. c. Click the Next arrow. Your dialog may look similar to the following: 9. The Data Warehouse FTP Gateway Information dialog displays. Review the FTP information, including the FTP Site Name and Data Warehouse FTP Gateway. Click the Next arrow. Your dialog may look similar to the following: 13

14 Installation Epicor Customer Profit Analyzer Installation Guide 10. If you are upgrading from a previous installation, you may be prompted with the Upgrade Databases dialog. Review the list of production (environment) databases that will be upgraded to the latest version of the database schema. Click the Next arrow. Note If this is a new installation, you are not prompted with this dialog. Your dialog may look similar to the following: 11. If you are licensed for the Data Warehouse SQL Replication, the Replication Server dialog displays. Select the Enable Replication check box if you want to enable the real-time data replication. In the Port field, enter the port number you want to use for SQL data replication. Click the Next arrow. Your dialog may look similar to the following: 14

The system status bar indicates the progress of the setup. Blue check marks are used to show when a process is completed. Your dialog may look similar to the following: 13. The Setup Complete dialog displays. To review the upgrade log file, you can click the Log File link to open the file. To exit from the dialog, click the X button. 16 Installation Epicor Customer Profit Analyzer Installation Guide Chapter 4: Install Customer Profit Analyzer Use these steps to install the Epicor Customer Profit Analyzer application onto your server. Note that during the installation, you will be prompted to enter the Server Name and Port where the Epicor Data Warehouse application was installed. 4.1 Install Customer Profit Analyzer Tool 1. Locate the Epicor Customer Prophet Analyzer installer file that was extracted in a previous step. For example, locate the Epicor.CPA.Install.v exe file. Right-click the file and select Run as administrator. 2. The Epicor Customer Profit Analyzer Welcome dialog displays. Click the Next arrow. 3. On the Select Destination Location dialog, enter the location where you want to install the Customer Profit Analyzer tool. Note that you can only select the drive on which to install the software. You cannot change the directory structure. Click the Next arrow. 4. The system verifies the location and confirms the installation is ready to begin. Click Install. The files are installed. This may take several minutes. 5. On the Customer Record dialog, enter your Domain Name. Click the Next arrow. Your entry is validated against the subscriber data. If it does not match, an error is displayed. Your dialog may look similar to the following: 6. On the Data Warehouse Api Connection dialog, the Server defaults to the server on which you are installing CPA and the Port defaults to 8180, which is the port value where the Data Warehouse was installed. Verify that these values match your Epicor Data Warehouse installation. Change the values, if necessary. Click the Next arrow. Your dialog may look similar to the following: 16

17 Epicor Customer Profit Analyzer Installation Guide Installation 7. On the Data Warehouse SQL Server Location dialog, enter the Server name and Port where your SQL Server database is located. Enter the User Name and Password for your SQL Server service account. This information must be the same values as you entered during the Data Warehouse installation. Click the Next arrow. Your dialog may look similar to the following: 8. On the Web Server Configuration dialog, the Customer Profit Analyzer Website information is displayed. The Home Page URL defaults to the URL where you can access the home page for the Customer Profit Analyzer. If desired, you can copy and paste this URL to save it as a shortcut on your desktop. Click the Next arrow. Your dialog may look similar to the following: 17

On the Run Setup dialog, review the steps that will be performed during the upgrade. Click Run Setup. The system status bar indicates the progress of the setup. Blue check marks are used to show when a process is completed. If issues are encountered, you can click the X to get details to resolve the issue. Your dialog may look similar to the following: 10. The Setup Complete dialog displays. To review the upgrade log file, you can click the Log file link to open the file. To close the dialog, click the X button. 20 Installation Epicor Customer Profit Analyzer Installation Guide Chapter 5: Install Epicor EPM Server Use the following section to install Epicor EPM (Enterprise Performance Management) Server. Note that Epicor EPM supports only the English language. 5.1 Install Epicor EPM Server Use the following steps to install Epicor EPM Server Verify EPM Server Components Use these steps to verify your EPM server components. These requirements are for both Epicor EPM Server and Epicor EPM Performance Canvas. 1. Verify the following requirements for Applications / Web Server: MS Windows Server 2008 R2 MS Internet Information Services (IIS) version 7.0 MS.NET Framework 3.5 (EPM applications) Install MS Visual C SP1 Re-distributable Files Use the following steps to install the Microsoft Visual C SP1 re-distributable files. 1. Go to the directory where you copied the vcredist_x86.exe and vcredist_x64.exe files. 2. Right-click on the vcredist_x86.exe file and select Run as administrator. 3. Right-click on the vcredist_x64.exe file and select Run as administrator Install EPM Server Use these steps to install the EPM Server files. 1. Go to the directory where you copied the EpicorEpmServer exe file. 2. Right-click on the EpicorEpmServer exe file and select Run as administrator. 3. The Epicor EPM Installation Wizard window appears. Click Next. 4. Enter your User Name and Organization. Select the appropriate check box to specify for whom this installation is intended: Anyone who uses this computer (all users), or only for the user specified in the User Name field. Click Next. 5. Select the Complete installation type and then click Next. 6. For SQL Server, you need to select the SQL Server Database Server that will host SQL Server, SQL Server Analysis Services (such as the server you are installing Epicor EPM Server onto) and connect to it with 20

21 Epicor Customer Profit Analyzer Installation Guide Installation credentials that allow the installation of the Epicor EPM database. This must be the same SQL Server and credentials used when installing Data Warehouse and Customer Profit Analyzer. To do this: a. Select the same SQL Server instance where your SQL Server Analysis Service is located. For example, localhost. b. Select the SQL Server Authentication option. Enter the User Name and Password that you assigned to the SQL Server service login during a Prerequisite step. For example, if you assigned User Name as EpicorDW, enter that same User Name for this authentication. c. Click Next. 7. The Ready to Install Program window appears. Click Install to begin the EPM installation. 8. A status bar is displayed during the installation. Click Next when prompted. 9. When the installation is completed, click Finish Import License File Use the following steps to import the required license for EPM Server. 1. Locate your license file. For example, Epicor EPM Server - full with no expiration.lic 2. Copy the license files to a location on your installed EPM Server. 3. On the server where EPM is installed, navigate to Start > All Programs > Epicor Software > Epicor Performance Management and open the Manage Epicor EPM Server program. 4. Expand the localhost > EPM Server nodes. 5. Right-click on the License node. Select All Tasks > Import License. 6. Browse and select your license file located on the EPM server. Click Open. On the License Import Complete dialog, click OK. 7. From the Action menu, select Refresh. Expand the localhost node. Verify the EPM Server is now licensed. 5.2 Install Epicor EPM Performance Canvas Use the following steps to install Epicor EPM Performance Canvas. For information on using performance canvas functionality, refer to the website Install EPM Performance Canvas Use the following steps to install EPM Performance Canvas. 1. Go to the directory where you copied the epm249.exe file. 2. Right-click the epm249.exe file and select Run as administrator. 3. The Performance Canvas Introduction window appears. Click Next. 21

22 Installation Epicor Customer Profit Analyzer Installation Guide 4. Read the License agreement and select the I accept the terms of the License Agreement radio button. Click Next. 5. Select the Custom Setup Type and verify that the Demo Context check box is clear (not selected). Click Next. 6. The Pre-Installation Summary window is displayed. Click Install to begin the Performance Canvas installation. The installation may take several minutes. 7. When complete, click Finish Edit EPM Canvas Properties Use the following steps to edit the Performance Canvas properties. 1. Navigate to the folder where Performance Canvas is installed. For example, go to C:\Program Files (x86)\epm Performance Canvas. 2. Open the file zenith.properties with a text editor, such as Notepad. 3. Locate the dsp.port. Change the value to identify a free port number that is not used. The port can be any port number that does not conflict with others. For example, change it from dsp.port=80 to dsp.port= Save the file Verify EPM Canvas Services Installation Use the following steps to verify that the EPM Canvas Services are properly installed. 1. Open the Windows Service Console. Locate the Performance Canvas service in the list of available services. 2. Right-click on the Performance Canvas service and select Properties. Verify that the Startup Type is Automatic (delayed start). Click OK. 3. After verifying that the service is installed, start the service. If the service is already started, you need to stop and start the service in order for the changed port number to take effect. 4. Verify that Performance Canvas service is started License EPM Performance Canvas Use the following steps to license the EPM Performance Canvas. 1. Verify you have received your license key for EPM Performance Canvas. The license key was given to you by Epicor Customer Support. If you do not have your license key, contact Epicor Customer Support. 2. Open your Internet browser. In the address bar, enter the address: where xx is the port number which you defined in the Edit EPM Canvas Properties section. For example, enter A screen similar to the following should appear: 22

In the Register Performance Canvas License section, enter the license key in the Product Key field. Click Register. 5. Close the application Set Up EPM Canvas Authentication Credentials Use the following steps to set up the EPM Canvas Authentication credentials. This set up allows authentication for any user to access EPM Canvas through an Internet browser, and EPM Canvas itself uses a user account, such as EEPM_CANVAS, to communicate with the SQL Server Analysis Services Cubes. Note Several other authentication methods are available. Basic Auth enables you to create EPM Canvas specific user accounts that are not Active Directory Integrated, NTLM (NT Lan Manager) allows you to use active directory users to control access to EEPM Canvas, and Windows Integrated Security which allows you to control access at the SQL Server Analysis Services level for individual Active Directory User Accounts. 1. Create a user account which will be used by EPM Canvas to access SQL Server Analysis Services Cubes. This account can be set up locally on the server hosting SQL Server Analysis Services. To do this: a. Go to Computer Management > System Tools > Local Users and Groups node. b. Select the Users folder. Right-click and select New User. c. Enter the following user information: Enter the User name as EEPM_CANVAS. Enter a Password for this user. Clear the User must change password at next login check box. Select the Password never expires check box. d. Click Create. e. Click Close. 23

24 Installation Epicor Customer Profit Analyzer Installation Guide 2. Right-click on the new user and select Properties. Click the Member Of tab. 3. Click Add. 4. Assign the following SQL Server OLAP User's group to grant read access to all cubes. To do this, assign: SQLServerMSASUser${server name}$mssqlserver where {server name} is the name of your server. Click OK. 5. Open SQL Server Management Studio. To do this, navigate to Start > Programs > Microsoft SQL Server > SQL Server Management Studio. 6. Click Connect > Analysis Services. 7. In the Connection dialog, enter localhost as the Server name and click Connect. 8. In the Object Explorer, right-click on localhost and select Properties. 9. In the Properties dialog, select Security. 10. Select Add to add a new user. Select the EEPM_CANVAS user. Click OK. 11. The Analysis Services Properties Dialog should now display EEPM_CANVAS in the list of users with security privileges. Click OK. 12. Exit SQL Server Management Studio. 5.3 Install SQL Server Analysis Services XMLA Web Service Use the following instructions to install and configure HTTP access to SQL Server 2005 Analysis Services. The Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services XMLA Web Service is a web service provided by Microsoft as part of SQL Server Analysis Services which allows applications to query and modify SQL Server Analysis Cubes using a web service. Epicor EPM uses this service to communicate between EPM Performance Canvas and the cubes deployed on SQL Server Analysis Services. Note Use the following steps if your server is running Windows Server If you use a different operating system, such as Windows XP Professional or Windows Server 2003, see the Appendix for the appropriate steps Install XMLA Web Services Use these steps to create a link between the SQL Server Analysis Services and the Performance Canvas. 1. Go to the directory where you copied the EpicorEpmXmlaWebService64.exe file. 2. Right-click on the EpicorEpmXmlaWebService64.exe file and select Run as administrator. 3. The Epicor EPM SQL Server Analysis Services XMLA Web Service welcome dialog opens. Click Next. 4. To begin the installation, click Install. The installation begins. 5. When completed, click Finish. 6. Verify your SQL Server name in the msmdpump.ini file. To do this: 24

25 Epicor Customer Profit Analyzer Installation Guide Installation a. Open your Windows Explorer. Navigate to the C:\inetpub\EpicorEpmXmlaWebService folder. b. Use a text editor, such as Notepad, to open the msmdpump.ini file. c. Verify that the <ServerName> value matches the name of your SQL Server that you specified during the Verify Prerequisites section. For example, edit <ServerName>MySQLServer</ServerName> where MySQLServer is the name of your SQL Server. d. Save the file. 7. Add the EEPM_CANVAS user to the anonymous authentication for XMLA 64. To do this: a. Navigate to Start > Control Panel > Administrative Tools and open the Internet Information Services (ISS) Manager. b. Under your server, expand the SItes node. Select the XMLA 64 node. c. Double-click on Authentication. Right-click on Anonymous Authentication and select Edit. d. In the Edit Anonymous Authentication Credentials dialog, click Set. e. In the Set Credentials dialog, enter the User Name and Password that you specified in a previous section to set up the EPM Canvas Authentication Credentials. 26 Installation Epicor Customer Profit Analyzer Installation Guide Chapter 6: Deploy EPM Content Packs Use the following steps to deploy the EPM Content Pack for CPA. Content packs are pre-built sets of cubes and dashboards that the EPM Tools can manage and install. Deployment of content packs includes loading the cubes into the Manager EPM Server so that you can view them in the EPM Performance Canvas Home. 6.1 Verify Deployment Prerequisites Use the following steps to verify the prerequisites prior to deploying the content packs. 1. For SQL, open SQL Management Studio and verify that the System Agent is started. The System Agent must be started in order to continue with the deployment process. 2. Verify that you have installed the latest EPM Server and EPM Performance Canvas application. 3. Verify that you have set the EPM Performance Canvas permission in SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) in order to see the cubes that are being deployed. Permissions allow it to automatically attach the dashboards to the cubes during the content package deployment. 4. Verify that the EPM Performance Canvas Services is started and that it is accessible via a web browser. 6.2 Install EPM Glossary for CPA Use these steps to install the EPM Glossary database for CPA. Note that the EPM Service is stopped and restarted during this process. 1. On the server where EPM is installed, create a Glossary folder at this location: C:\Program Files (x86)\epicor Software\EAS\Glossary. 2. Copy the CPA.bdd file to the Glossary folder you just created. For example, copy the file to C:\Program Files (x86)\epicor Software\EAS\Glossary. 3. On your EPM server, double-click the CPA.bdd file to open the BDD Site Manager utility. 4. In the BDD Site Manager utility, click the +1 button. Browse and select the Glossary folder to load the CPA glossary. 5. On the right side, expand the Sites folder and do the following: Right-click on the CPA.bdd file path, and select Deploy Pack. If you are prompted that the target is invalid, click Yes to validate the target. Click Close. Right-click on the CPA.bdd file path, and select Make Primary. If you are prompted to stop the service, click Yes. If you are prompted to start the service, click Yes. Click Close. Click Close again. 6. Close the BDD Site Manager. 26

27 Epicor Customer Profit Analyzer Installation Guide Installation 6.3 Deploy Content Pack File Use these steps to deploy the Content Pack file. 1. Copy the CPA.bpk content pack file to the server where EPM is installed. 2. Right-click on the file and from the drop-down menu, select the Deploy with Epicor Cube Connect > EPM Content Pack Deployer option. Note You can also access the content pack by navigating to Start > Programs > Epicor Software > Epicor Enterprise Performance Management > Epicor Cube Connect and opening the EPM Content Pack Deployer program. 3. The content pack deployment information, including the cubes, is displayed. Click Next (the blue arrow). 4. On the Target Epicor EPM Server window, specify the following and click Next (the blue arrow). a. Specify the Target EPM server where to deploy the content pack. For example localhost. b. Specify the URL of the target Performance Canvas. The port number is the port selected when setting the Performance Canvas properties. For example, c. Specify the URL of the XMLA Web Service (virtual directory) that you installed. For example, 5. On the Deployment Context window, you need to add deployment contexts to specify company information and the processing schedule. To do this, navigate to the User-Defined CPA folder. Right-click the Customer Business Unit Metrics cube and select Edit. 6. On the Edit Context window, do the following: a. For the Application Database, use the drop-down menu to select the database name formatted as EDW_[Domain]_[EnvironmentName]. For example, select EDW_yourdomain.com_Production. b. Select the Deploy against all companies check box. c. In the toolbar, click the Modify Context button (green arrow). d. Click OK to confirm the context was successfully modified. 7. Back on the Deployment Context window, click Next (the blue arrow). 8. To start the deployment and cube processing, click the Deploy and Process button on the toolbar. Wait until the status for each process is complete. 9. A message appears that the cubes have been processed successfully. Click OK. 10. From the File menu, select Exit to close the EPM Content Pack Deployer application. 27

28 Installation Epicor Customer Profit Analyzer Installation Guide 6.4 Verify Content in Deployed Cube Use the following steps to verify the content of the deployed cube. 1. Navigate to Start > All Programs > Epicor Software > Epicor Enterprise Performance Management and open the Manage Epicor EPM Servers program. 2. Expand the localhost > User-Defined: CPA > EDW_yourdomain.com_Production nodes. Select the Deployed Users Cubes folder. 3. Right-click on the Customer Business Unit Metrics cube and select All Tasks > Check Status. Note You must have already imported your license information to perform tasks. 4. Test that the cubes are visible in the EPM Performance Canvas Home. To do this, open a browser. 5. In the address bar, enter The EPM Performance Canvas Home window should appear. 6. Manually add the cubes to the Performance Canvas. To do this: Important Due to a known issue with Performance Canvas, the following step cannot be performed using Internet Explorer. It is recommended that you use another browser, such as Firefox, Chrome, or Safari. a. Click the Admin Console button in the Canvas Home window. b. Select the Data Sources tab. c. Expand the All Datasources > localhost:8064 > Server Name > Cube ID. d. For each cube you want to add, select the check box for that Cube ID. e. A message with Flushing Cache and Adding Cube is displayed. When it is finished, a message with Cube Added is displayed. Click OK. 28

29 Epicor Customer Profit Analyzer Installation Guide Post-Installation Part III: Post-Installation Use this section of the guide for instructions for tasks that must completed after Epicor Customer Profit Analyzer has been installed. Chapter 7: Enable CPA Login for ERP Users Use this section to enable the CPA login for ERP users. A role must be created for each user in the ERP system in order for that user to access the Customer Profit Analyzer (CPA) application. 7.1 Enable CPA Login: Prophet 21 Use this section to enable CPA users for Prophet 21. Refer to your ERP system documentation for additional information, if needed. 1. In Prophet 21, open System Setup > System > User Maintenance. 2. Select an existing user. 3. Select the Application Security tab. For the Enable Customer Profitability Analyzer Login, next to the Value filed, use the drop-down menu next and select Yes. 4. Save your changes. 7.2 Enable CPA Users: Eclipse Use this section to enable CPA users for Eclipse. 1. In Eclipse, open System > System Files > User Control > User Maintenance. 2. Select an existing user. 3. Navigate to Maintenance > Authorization Key > Template Maintenance. 4. In the Available Keys area, select the CPA.LOGIN and click the Assign >> button to assign the key. 5. Click Save. 29

Open Performance Canvas. To do this, open a browser and enter in the address bar. The EPM Performance Canvas Home window should appear. 2. Navigate to My Canvases > CPA. Right-click Executive Dashboard and select Open. Right-click on the dashboard white space and select Info > Canvas URL. Copy the URL to the clipboard. Click OK. 3. Open CPA. Log in to the Production environment using your user name and password. Click Submit. Navigate to Configuration > Environment Setup. 4. Select the Edit icon (pencil). In the Edit Environment dialog, paste the URL from the clipboard into the Dashboard URL field. Click Update. Review the environment values. Close the dialog. 5. On the home page, click Refresh. The Executive Dashboard should display. 8.2 Add Required SQL Job for CPA Use the following steps to copy the SQL Server Agent job into CPA. 1. Open SQL Server Management Studio. To do this, navigate to Start > Programs > Microsoft SQL Server > SQL Server Management Studio. 2. Expand SQL Server Agent > Jobs. Right-click EAS_Tango and select Properties. In the Job Properties dialog, right-click in the Name field and select Copy to copy the name to your clipboard. Click Cancel to close the dialog. 3. Open CPA. Log in to the Production environment using your user name and password. Click Submit. Navigate to Configuration > Environment Setup. 4. Select the Edit icon (pencil). In the Edit Environment dialog, paste the SQL Job name from the clipboard into the Cube Refresh SQL Job field. Click Update. Review the environment values. Close the dialog. 30

This issue has been fixed. The Eclipse database has no entity for a company-level organizational unit. A default Company has been created in the Data Warehouse so that all company-level features work for Eclipse users. In response to a customer issue, it was determined that the data warehouse installation needs to verify which version of Visual Studio is installed on the target server (either 9.0 or 10.0) and then install the VSTSDB deployment to the correct directory. This issue has been fixed. The p21_view_soa_get_invoice view was not providing all of the applicable invoices to the CPA data pulls. This issue has been fixed. Ensure that the Metric table in the Data Warehouse environment database is updated for deleted records during database upgrades of existing implementations. This guarantees that the list of Allocators in Net Profit Setup and Metrics in Customer Scorecard Setup are up-to-date. The Manifest data pull was inadvertently removed from the ERP Data management page in version v The issue has been fixed. Added the About page in the Help menu to display the version information for the ERP system, the Customer Profit Analyzer application, and the Data Warehouse services. The home page dashboards did not render for some users when using Internet Explorer 9. This issue has been fixed. The Time Period slicer now filters the customer records returned in the Business Unit Comparison dashboard. The Watchlist L365 dashboard was not displaying the proper value for added columns such as Sales or Gross Profit. The records for all periods were being summed and displayed instead of only displaying value for the L365 period. The issue has been fixed. 31

The correct value to be displayed for each customer is the sum of the net profit for that customer at all branches. The Movement Table dashboard was not displaying a value for net profit for customers on a branch if there were no indirect costs defined for that branch. If indirect costs are not defined they can be considered equal to zero; and net profit = gross profit = sales - cost of goods sold. The Movement Table dashboard was restricted to retrieving 500 customer lines due to performance issues when attempting to retrieve all of the applicable lines from the data cube. The data view that populates the data cube was redesigned to eliminate lines with only zero values, and the retrieved line restriction was removed from the Movement Table dashboard. The Grade slicer was not working with the Movement Table dashboard. The Grade slicer now works in conjunction with the Time Period slicer to filter for customer records that have the selected grade in the selected time period. The Time Period slicer now filters the customer records returned in the Salesperson Comparison dashboard. The Performance Canvas dashboard was embedded on the CPA Home page in a manner that allowed only a fraction of the horizontal scroll bar to be utilized. This issue has been fixed. The default value for the Business Unit slicer has been changed from Company to Branch to reduce the number of empty result sets returned by applicable dashboards. The queries for all metrics involving invoice data pulls were modified to exclude any rows where the service charge flag is true. Indirect costs for periods less than a year were using a proportional amount of the expense totals for the L365 period. The calculation was adjusted so that indirect costs for a given period are using expense transactions that occur in that selected period. The Number of Delivery Stops metric was removed as a duplicate of the Number of Manifest Stops metric. The Number of shipment Lines was not being properly counted when an order had multiple shipments of the same line item. This issue has been fixed. If any given Allocator was used for more than one indirect cost or in an indirect cost and the value for allocating the remaining Gl balances, the data pull for Orders would fail. This issue has been fixed. 32

The Exclude checkbox has been added so that the user can determine which GL accounts should not be available for use in the creation of Indirect Costs, and will also be excluded from the calculations for Allocate Remaining General Ledger Balances By and General Ledger Balances Allocated to Indirect Costs.
