2 You are Here The fine print 3 Session Abstract How would your business be transformed if you could run the same Client Access client on a Macintosh, a Linux machine and/or a Windows 10 system? Do you need a supported Client Access product for Windows 10? How about a deployment WITHOUT installation? Would the ability to run and/or deploy the client from a Thumb Drive, a Network Server, a Web page, or a local file system be of Interest? Come to this session to learn how you can test and evaluate the new ACS client alongside the traditional IBM i Access for Windows concurrently on the same desktop! In this session we will look at the replacement product for the IBM i Access for Windows (5770-XE1 V7R1M0) product. We will provide an overview of the capabilities of this product including 5250 terminal emulation, Printer Output, Data Transfer, IFS Access, SQL script and SQL performance tools, System Console and/or HMC support as well as deployment options. We will also introduce at the companion IBM i Access Client Solutions Windows & Linux Application Packages and discuss the functions they provide. 4 2

Significantly reduces administration costs by the elimination platform specific installer and supporting simple network drive deployment for most users. 13 Product History On April 24th 2012 IBM Announced the Technology Preview of IBM i Access Client Solutions. Open Technology Preview of the core client features available July 2, Update to the Technology Preview released October 2012 and May Technology Preview versions have a 120 day expiration period. A new Technology Preview will be released with each GA release or update. Version released June 14th 2013 GA Version released January 2014 Version released February 2015 Version released March 22, 2017 Information on obtaining the GA or Technology Preview versions of the client is available off of the product website Valid URL : 25 Product Support Supports IBM i OS V7R3M0 V7R1M0. IBM i OS supports IBM i Access Client Solutions exactly the same as IBM i Access for Windows. Checks out the same 57xx-XW1 Licenses for 5250 and Data Transfer. Connects to the same IBM i Access Host Servers on the same ports in the same way. Exit programs will continue to have the same impact. Application Administration local policies will still be applied. I have successfully connected to V5R3M
