Wi-Fi is a generic term used to describe wireless Internet access. A Wi-Fi enabled device (such as a computer, laptop, mobile phone, or e-reader) can connect wirelessly to the Internet if it is in range of a wireless network. Wi-Fi enabled devices connect to the wireless network through access points (or hotspots). Access points can be public (such as at a library, restaurant or bookstore) or can be private (such as at home, work or school). Public Wi-Fi access points usually don't require a password, but instead require a user to acknowledge terms of use. Private Wi-Fi access points are usually password protected. Home Internet connection is usually provided by a cable or telephone company, and the wireless access is provided by a small device called a wireless router that is physically connected to the Internet. 2. Is my NOOK wireless? Yes, your NOOK has built in Wi-Fi allowing you to connect wirelessly to any Wi-Fi hotspot. Connect to your home Wi-Fi, as well as your office, cafes, airports, hotels, and most other public

Please go to the support site of your Wi-Fi router's manufacturer for information about factory reset and how to set up a network. Note that you may need to reattach any other Wi-Fi enabled device if you change the network name (SSID) or change the password. 4. How do I know what my home network is? If you have another Wi-Fi enabled device, try looking at its settings to determine which Wi-Fi access point it is connecting to. Once you've determined that, select the same wireless network name from the list provided by NOOK. 5. I don't see my home network on the list. What should I do? It is possible that your network was set up as a hidden network. To add your network: -Tap the Settings icon in the upper right hand corner. -Tap All Settings. -Select Wireless & Bluetooth. -Make sure that Wi-Fi is turned on -Tap on Find other networks and tap on the Add Network button. -Fill in the information for your network and press Save. 6. These third-party applications are free in the NOOK store, and don't require sideloading; you can download your books directly to your device. See the separate help sections for more details. -Adobe Digital Editions for Windows does not currently support MTP Media devices, like NOOK HD and HD+. You can use ADE to unlock protected (DRM) files, but you must manually copy them to your NOOK as described above. (Mac users can use ADE to directly transfer books after the one-time installation of the MyNOOK Setup drivers.) When you have finished arranging files, simply disconnect the NOOK cable (Windows) or eject the MyNOOK icon by dragging it to the trash (Mac). 13.
