1 Calibrating a Camera Boom The Camera Boom houses three digital cameras. Each camera captures a portion of the notes on your whiteboard. After the notes have been captured, the three images are stitched together into a single snapshot and excess wall surface that was captured by the cameras is cropped. During this process, the image is normalized and keystoning is corrected. The processes used to stitch, crop, normalize and otherwise improve image quality occur automatically each time you press the Capture button. All you need to do is calibrate the Camera Boom. Under most circumstances, you only need to calibrate a Camera Boom once before you use it to capture whiteboard notes for the first time. However, if the Camera Boom or whiteboard is moved, you may need to repeat the calibration process. To calibrate a Camera Boom, you ll need to complete the following two tasks: 1 Refine how images from the three cameras are aligned during stitching (pages 38 through 41). 2 Define the frame used to crop the captured image (pages 42 through 44). Refining Image Alignment The image alignment parameters assigned to your Camera Boom during manufacturing may not reflect the exact position of your Camera Boom once it s mounted on the wall. Three digital cameras are housed in the Camera Boom. To ensure that the images taken by these cameras are stitched together with precision, you ll need to refine image alignment.
