4 1 About PivotalVRP Enterprise Edition This release is a fully distributable release of PivotalVRP Enterprise Edition for Pivotal Greenplum Database environments. 1.1 Supported Platforms This release is only available for 64 bit Windows OS. 1.2 New Features Improved performance and scalability This is the first release with Pivotal product branding Improved resource consumption at the PivotalVRP server level PivotalVRP postgres repository performance improvement Added the GP Admin module Now supports over 3 Data Computing Appliances (DCAs) 1.3 Resolved Issues This section lists issues that have been resolved in PivotalVRP : Issue Privileges Description Administrator and operator level users were not able to use the inquire module. PivotalVRP users requested to make the feature available for administrator and operator level users. Playback display issue Explain plan from parent view display issue While using the Playback module there were some minor display issues Explain plan was not available from parent right-click 1.4 Known Limitations The following limitations are known in this release: 4 of 6

5 Creating the DCR report creates a slight spike in resource consumption Certain items are still using legacy name scheme. For example: system notifications, service (MoreVRP Service), folders (MoreDB) etc. In the live dashboard the open tree slice detail view only display 50 characters for the SQL text but retains the complete information for all right click functions. 1.5 Compatibility There are no known (reported) issues with other monitoring/management tools. 1.6 Known Issues Non-functioning display explain plan option from Playback module. 1.7 Notes Adobe Updates: The installer includes and installs an updated version of Adobe Flash. 5 of 6

6 2 Upgrade Instructions Verify your version prior to upgrade and follow the steps below: Up to version : (Full uninstall & re-install, if necessary backup important files & repository) Stop the MoreVRP service Uninstall MoreVRP from the PivotalVRP server. Uninstall Postgres from the PivotalVRP server. Remove the postgres user from the PivotalVRP server. Restart the PivotalVRP server Run the installation as a new installation Version & up: Stop the MoreVRP service Remove the MoreDB.key file from the MoreDB folder Start the installer and follow the instructions Replace the MoreDB.key file & start the MoreVRP service Version : Can be upgraded through smaller file which includes the GUI replacement files. 6 of 6
