1 Partner Release Announcement SPEECHCONTROL Version 3.3 Build 330 Dear Speech Processing Solutions partner, we are pleased to announce the release of the new SpeechControl Software Version 3.3 build 330 This release includes following improvements and changes: Central configuration for Application control Improved silent setup options Automatic detection of Dragon Medical Network edition (North America only) Automatic SpeechMike firmware update Option to activate SpeechControl logging in the Troubleshooter page Updated SpeechControl workbook and new Administrator guide Application control profiles for Dragon Medical on the SpeechControl CD This document describes the commercial details to the release of this software product. 3 Speech Processing Solutions GmbH Partner Release Announcement NEW FEATURES CENTRAL CONFIGURATION ROLLOUT FOR APPLICATION CONTROL SpeechControl 3.3 now supports central rollout of application control configurations. With this new feature administrators can preconfigure commands which shall be executed in a connected application with a SpeechMike button click. For example: when using Dragon NaturallySpeaking the users shall jump to the next field with the fast forward button on the SpeechMike. D Note: this feature does not rollout SpeechMike device settings (e.g. enable/disable trackball) throughout the entire organization. For this purpose please use the Philips Remote Device Manager CENTRALLY SAVED APPLICATION CONTROL USER CONFIGURATION This new option enables to centrally store individual user configurations. Users get access to their individual application control configuration independently of the workstation they are working on. For example: doctors are moving around in different departments using different computers in a medical environment. They expect to have equal Dragon commands assigned to the SpeechMike buttons independently on which computer they are working on. CENTRAL CONFIGURATION PROFILES The SpeechControl CD now contains some application control profiles that are preconfigured for medical environments. Together with the profiles there comes a quick start guide with a short description about the functionality as well as information for a seamless central configuration control rollout of the profiles. IMPROVED SILENT SETUP OPTIONS SpeechControl s silent setup options have been enhanced with following additional options: Enabling the central rollout of application control configurations. Configuration of Dragon Medical Network Edition settings (North America only) AUTOMATIC SPEECHMIKE FIRMWARE UPDATE In an increasingly complex IT environment hardware and software vendors have to be able to adapt their products instantly to keep up with frequent changes. SpeechControl now enables to automatically upgrade the SpeechMike Air, SpeechMike 3, and SpeechMike Premium firmware to the latest available version. Page: 3 of 6

4 Partner Release Announcement Speech Processing Solutions GmbH AUTOMATIC DETECTION OF DRAGON MEDICAL NETWORK EDITION Dragon Medical Network Edition requires a different behaviour of the SpeechControl interface to Dragon NaturallySpeaking. SpeechControl 3.3 now automatically detects the available Dragon edition and changes its interface behaviour accordingly. If required, customers can also predefine that behaviour with a registry key setting. D Note: this version of Dragon Medical Network Edition is available in North America only OPTION TO ACTIVATE SPEECHCONTROL LOGGING IN TROUBLESHOOTER PAGE For support purposes SpeechControl now allows users to enable logging in the trouble-shooter page. This helps to speed up the whole support process for our customers. UPDATED SPEECHCONTROL WORKBOOK AND NEW ADMINISTRATOR GUIDE The SpeechControl workbook has been updated to describe the new features of SpeechControl 3.3. The new Administration Guide describes silent setup options, central application control rollout as well as special registry key settings. DRAGON NATURALLYSPEAKING SUPPORT SpeechControl 3.3 has been tested and released with Dragon NaturallySpeaking version as well as with Dragon Medical Practice Edition 2. We have also crosschecked the beta version of Dragon Professional version 13 which worked without any problems. D Note: Currently we cannot give any guarantee that SpeechControl 3.3 will work with the final build of Dragon Professional 13, but it is very likely that there will be no issues. Page: 4 of 6

AVAILABILITY SpeechControl 3.3 build 330 is available as download from the Speech Processing website from July 2014 onwards. Product by-packs start approximately from week (commencing 18 th August) onwards. The product mix is depending on available stocks and the production plan.
