4 Priority onsumable 77 Executing Auto Toner reproduction curve compensation Executing Auto Density Adjustment. Toner amount is low. In case of LOW TONER=STOP in the menu, onsumable turns on and the printer shifts to OFF LINE. When ON LINE switch is pressed, printer shifts to ONLINE, and printing can continue until TONER EPT. This message also appears when waste toner becomes NEAR FULL. 7. If you open/close the cover or turn off the power and then turn on after Waste Toner Full error (priority 5.) once appeared, this warning appears. (Does not happen to Black.) Displayed in a combination of the other message on Line. While this message is being displayed, an waste toner full error happens at every 50 (approx.) sheets printing, and the printer stops OFF - LINE. 7 Invalid data was received. Press the ON LINE switch and eliminate the warning. Displayed when unsupported PDL command is received or a spool command is received without HDD. 70 Notifies the drum is near life (warning). Displayed in a combination of other message in the first line. 69 Notifies the fuser unit is near its life. (warning) 68 Notifies the belt unit is near its life. (warning) 67 A fuser unit life error occurred and a user opened/closed the cover or rebooted the power. After the printer prints 500 sheets, the error occurs again. 66 A belt unit life error occurred and a user opened/closed the cover or rebooted the power. After the printer prints 500 sheets, the error occurs again. 65 A toner empty error occurred and a user opened/closed the cover or rebooted the power. After the printer prints approx. 50 sheets (A4, 5% density), the error happens again. 64 A drum life error occurred and a user opened/closed the cover or rebooted the power. After the printer prints approx. 500 sheets, the error happens again. 0590TX Rev. 84 /

5 Priority onsumable 40 out in Tray/ or a tray is removed. Handled as a warning until printing is designated. PTRA EPT appears when paper is loaded from PTRA and Out is found. If ON LINE switch is pressed, printing continues. Install expansion RA or decrease the data amount * Waste toner is full. Toner has to be replaced. (Does not happen to Black toner.) If cover is opened/closed, the printer becomes a warning status and the printer can print another 50 sheets (approx.) Appears to let a user to check if * toner was replaced at cover Open/lose after waste toner full error. (In case of waste toner full, toner replacement cannot be recognized from the device appearance.) (Happens to,,, and does not happen to.) When es is selected (ONLINE pressed for 5 seconds), toner counter is reset. When No is selected (ANEL pressed for 5 seconds), toner counter is not reset. The printer displays and can print another 50 sheets (approx.). 0590TX Rev. 85 /

(The number of sheets: TBD) Something is wrong with the toner sensor. When the engine is set to Factory mode, this is a service call error (see below.) (This warning happens to PU/FW 00.8 and greater.) An inappropriate size paper was loaded from the tray. heck the paper in the tray and check if multiple feed happened. The cover is open. DUPLEX A network error is occurring. 8 .6.6 Displaying of Service all odes With the 550, whenever service error occurs, each -, onsumable, and - rapidly blinks simultaneously at 0mS intervals. Every time the ONLINE SW and the ANEL switch are depressed simultaneously for 5 seconds or more in this state, the printer enters error code display mode. In this mode, each error code, a three-digit decimal number, represents bits (4 s times). After the error code display mode starts, displays the hundred's place of the error code. If the ONLINE SW is depressed once in this state, displays the ten's place of the error code. If the ONLINE SW is depressed twice in this state, displays the one's place of the error code. Immediately after the ONLINE switch is depressed (00mS), all the s go off so that a user can confirm that the switch was depressed even though the same code such as or continues. If the ONLINE SW is depressed three times, error code display mode ends, and the will go back to its rapid blinking state. If it is not depressed for more than 0 seconds, error code display mode ends as well. One example of display pattern at error occurrence is provided below.
