The problem is evident on SHOW OMVS subcommand if multiple users have the same UID or GID. The SHOW output is sorted by UID/GID but is not properly sorted by userid within UID/GID. There is also the possibility of getting no uids/gids listed for the SHOW OMVS command when a site has more UIDS/GIDS than can be displayed. This number is somewhere around 131,000 uids or gids. This ptf has added 2 new messages. Currently if a user does not have enough region space to satisfy the request, a S878 abend occurs. This condition will now get ACF63011 NOT ENOUGH REGION TO SUPPORT COMMAND OUTPUT. If a site attempts to do a SHOW OMVS command and the output would list out more than uids or gids, this will now get a ACF63012 OUTPUT TOO LONG, GREATER THAN ENTRIES message. In both cases, the user can use the USERS or GROUPS parms on the SHOW OMVS to limit the amount of data to be displayed. SHOW OMVS output is not properly sorted within UID/GID. When trying to do the SHOW OMVS command and there are more than 131,000 uids, the following may be seen. -- OMVS USERS -- UID NAME MAPOWNER *** NO USERS *** SHOW command output is incorrect. Any of these errors can be circumvented by limiting the amount of output by using the USERS and GROUPS parms on the SHOW OMVS command.
