Applicability: This release is available as a VMware virtual appliance. Release Status: Generally Availability (GA) English only release. Contains the Following Improvements over Prior Release: This release adds a new web-based client with the following main features: dashboard showing capacity and utilization; intelligent search, a space reservation system; and a web services API for integration with 3 rd party ticketing systems. The web client is accessible with most standard web browsers. Intelligent Capacity Search, Reserve and Place Easily find the best location to place a new server correlating space, power and network requirements Reserve blocks of space for that high priority project Place your servers in the optimal location Capacity and Utilization Dashboard Cabinet rack unit Utilization Floor Space Utilization Power Utilization 1

2 Cooling Utilization Data Patch Panel and Network Port Utilization Ticket System API for integration with 3 rd party systems such as BMC Remedy, LANDesk, etc. Electronic transmission of ticket information Intelligent auto matching of ticket data with corresponding dctrack data Listing of tickets arriving at dctrack Ticket Processing into dctrack Requests and Work Orders Supports adding servers with ports and discarding installed servers. 3 Known Issues: 1. IE9 does not load the Administration\Settings Page(CR 36515) 2. Firefox 4.0 does not load the Administration\Settings page and does not load the Classic View( CR 36638) 3. Place and Reserve dialog windows will not show item reservation or placement until after saving and re-opening this window ( CR 36931) 4. When you reserve a location for an item without model name and later place it with model information, dctrack may not always place that item at the previously reserved location (CR 35965) Upgrades for Existing Customers: The upgrade is provided at no charge for customers covered under the software maintenance agreement. If upgrade is from dctrack 2.4 to 2.5 This requires a new install due to file system improvements. Your 2.4 Configuration and Data can be backed-up and restored to the new 2.5 system. There is no need for a database conversion. You can download dctrack 2.5 from Release Notes, Quick Setup Guide and User Guide are also available for download from this site. Note that this site is password protected. Please use same credentials that you used to download license key for dctrack You do not need a new license for dctrack 2.5 when upgrading from 2.4 to 2.5. dctrack 2.4 cabinet based license can be used for this upgrade. Instructions for upgrading dctrack 2.4 to i. Backup 2.4 database (verify backup is complete by comparing file size of prior backups. Refresh the browser several time making sure the back file size stopped increasing. Back generally takes 30 to 45 minutes.) ii. Create new VM per instructions in Quick Setup Guide ( QSG) iii. Install dctrack 2.5 per instruction in QSG. iv. Restore the backed up 2.4 database to the new 2.5 Server. Restore generally takes 45 to 60 minutes. v. Verify over a week s period that 2.5 is functioning before discarding 2.4 VM.

If upgrade is from dctrack 2.2 to 2.5 The upgrade is a new install on a VMware virtual appliance. It includes a change from port based to rack based license and a database conversion. You can start the process by sending an to orders@raritan.com with the following information for license validation and creation.
