Save model early and often! 2. Use the least dimensions and constraints possible to make editing easier. 3. Avoid modeling details like bolt threads to reduce risk of freezing during simulation or rotation. 4. Customize Toolbars - Go to Tools and drag/drop the commands to a location on a toolbar. 5. Mouse Gestures Pull up commands from a right-click and drag. 6. Command Search In the top right. Search menus for any command, and launch using enter.

Dimension to Outside of Arc SHIFT+click a circle or arc to dimension to the outside, as opposed to the center point 10. Box/Lasso Select Blue box (down/right) creates a standard selection box. Green box (down/left) is a crossing window select 11. Offset Plane hold CTRL+drag a corner point of a plane to quickly create an offset plane 9. Auto-transition to Arc Use the a key to quickly switch from line to a tangent arc command View, Rotation, Orientation Tips 1. Triad in the bottom left corner can be used to orient model on screen: Select an axis to view normal to it. SHIFT+click an axis to rotate 90 degrees around that axis, ALT+click an axis to rotate in 15 degree increments 2. Middle Mouse button shortcuts: Zoom to Fit Doubleclick middle button, Roll about an edge middle mouse click + drag on a model edge to rotate about it 3. Rotate about Scene Floor right mouse click in space, and select to enable 4. Undo Last View Change - CTR+SHIFT+Z 5. View Orientations - Use the space bar to create and save custom view orientations Assembly Modeling Tips 1. Smart Mates - ALT+drag an entity to quickly mate it 2. Rotate a part in place by right - clicking and dragging 3. Select through transparent parts - Enabled from system options, Display/Selection, hold SHIFT to select the transparent part 4. Disable Sketch Relations - hold the CTRL key to avoid creating snaps/relations in a drawing 5. Show/Hide parts TAB+hover over the part to hide. SHIFT+TAB+hover over where the hidden part would be to show it 6. Move/copy dimensions across views: Use SHIFT + drag a dimension to move from one view to another, Use CTRL+drag a dimension to copy it to another vie
