1 Many maroons visit the Kahn Academy website for assistance with academic topics, or for extra practice. Sometimes, however, topics available from Kahn Academy do not always align with topics tested on our standardized tests. That s why the AHS Academy website was created! Unfortunately, it is somewhat useless at the moment. There are no videos or practice problems Your job is to create instructional videos based on math topics that are tested by TAKS. You must also create a video guide the viewer can complete while watching the video. Also you must develop a worksheet that contains 7 practice questions. The answer key to the practice questions must also be available and should include worked out solutions. Finally, you must include a 5 question quiz the viewer can download and take. Don t forget to create an answer key to the quiz! The table below shows different Teks that TAKS test. You and a partner will be randomly assigned a topic from one of the TEKS below to create your video lesson. You will receive a zero if even one component is missing. Your grade will be updated once I receive all project documents/files.
4 RESOURCES: Part of this project is trying to figure out what your TEK means. The following are some resources that can help you understand what your TEK refers to and how the TAKS tests it. This website contains previous Taks problems organized according to the TEKS it test. On the ipads there is a dropbox account. There you will find old TAKS test and STAAR test released items. o You will also use this account to save your Show Me videos. o You have access to this account from anywhere. Just go to dropbox.com and sign in with the above information. You can always refer to textbooks. You will have access to the Algebra I, Geometry, and Algebra II textbooks online. o NOTE: The Algebra II textbooks covers Algebra I TEKS. There are 8 th grade mathematics textbooks in the classroom.
