1 ControlNet Communication Options f 1768 Controllers The ControlNet netwk is an open, control netwk f real-time, high-throughput applications. The ControlNet netwk uses the Common Industrial Protocol (CIP) to combine the functionality of an I/O netwk and a peer-to-peer netwk providing high-speed perfmance. The ControlNet netwk gives you deterministic, repeatable transfers of all mission-critical control data and suppting transfers of non-time-critical data. I/O updates and controller-to-controller interlocking take precedence over program uploads and downloads and messaging. Cat. 5 Controllers The platfm brings together the benefits of the Logix platfm common programming environment, common netwks, common control engine in a small footprint with high perfmance. Combined with Compact I/O modules, the platfm is perfect f tackling smaller, machine-level control applications, with without simple motion, with unprecedented power and scalability. A platfm is ideal f systems that require standalone and system-connected control over EtherNet/IP, ControlNet, DeviceNet netwks.
