1 ControlLogix Integrated Motion The Logix architecture suppts motion control components that wk in a wide variety of machine architectures: Integrated Motion on the EtherNet/IP netwk suppts a connection to Ethernet drives. The Kinetix integrated-motion solution uses a SERCOS EtherNet/IP interface to perfm multi-axis, synchronized motion. Logix integrated motion suppts the analog family of servo modules f controlling drives/actuats. Netwked motion provides connection via the DeviceNet netwk to one axis drive to perfm point-to-point indexing. F detailed specifications on motion interface modules, see the 1756 ControlLogix Integrated Motion Specifications Technical Data, publication 1756-TD004. F me infmation, see these publications: Motion Analyzer CD to size your motion application and to make final component selection Download the software from Kinetix Motion Control Selection Guide, publication GMC-SG001, to verify drive, mot, and accessy specifications Integrated Motion on an EtherNet/IP Netwk Product Drive that suppts EtherNet/IP connections ControlLogix controller Consideration Unlimited velocity, tque, and VHz configured drives: Kinetix 6500 drives Kinetix 5500 drives Kinetix 350 drives PowerFlex 755 drives As many as 100 drives per controller ControlLogix EtherNet/IP communication module 1 8 position loop axes configured with the 1756-EN2T 1756-EN2TR modules position loop axes configured with the 1756-EN3TR module ControlLogix PanelView Plus Terminal Wkstations Drive with EtherNet/IP Connection POINT I/O Modules 18 Rockwell Automation Publication 1756-SG001S-EN-P - August 2014

4 Studio 5000 Environment The Studio 5000 Automation Engineering & Design Environment combines engineering and design elements into a common environment. The first element in the Studio 5000 environment is the Studio 5000 Logix Designer application. The Logix Designer application is the rebranding of RSLogix 5000 software and continues to be the product to program Logix5000 controllers f discrete, process, batch, motion, safety, and drive-based solutions. The Studio 5000 environment is the foundation f the future of Rockwell Automation engineering design tools and capabilities. This environment is the one place f design engineers to develop the elements of their control system. 36 Rockwell Automation Publication 1756-SG001S-EN-P - August 2014
