2 Step 1 MatterControl Sync Setup Navigate to the MatterControl Sync Dashboard in a web browser and click the 'Sign In' link at the top right. Step 2 You will be asked to log in or create an account. If you're a first time user, please create an account using the 'Create an Account' link. Click 'Login' matterhackers.dozuki.com Page 2 of 9
3 Step 3 This is the MatterControl Sync 'Dashboard', you should now see 'My Devices' and 'My Designs'. My Devices is a list of all currently connected 3D printers; once you complete setup you will see you printer listed here. My Designs is your cloud design library, which allows you to access your 3D printable design files from anywhere. Click on 'My Designs'. Step 4 Click on 'Add File' and select an.stl file of your choice. When the upload is complete, click 'Done'. We will access this shortly from the MatterControl desktop application matterhackers.dozuki.com Page 3 of 9
4 Step 5 Return to 'Dashboard' by clicking the link in the navigation. Step 6 If you haven't already done so, connect to a printer using the MatterControl desktop application or a MatterControl Touch matterhackers.dozuki.com Page 4 of 9
5 Step 7 Using the Cloud Library Sign in to MatterControl Desktop using the same credentials you used earlier. The sign-in link is in the top right hand corner on the desktop version of MatterControl. On the MatterControl Touch, click the gear icon at the top right and sign in. Step 8 Navigate to LIBRARY > Cloud Library and click 'Open'. The design file you uploaded earlier should be visible. Hover over the item and click 'View' - the design file will download and open matterhackers.dozuki.com Page 5 of 9
6 Step 9 Close the open 3D VIEW window. Drag and drop another design file anywhere in the folder (Ryan_bust.stl in this example). You can now access that file from the web (or another instance of MatterControl on which you are signed in). Step 10 Click the 'Edit' button to enter selection mode. This will allow you to edit, export, remove or rename a file matterhackers.dozuki.com Page 6 of 9
7 Step 11 Using Cloud Monitoring and Control Return to your browser and refresh the dashboard page - you should now see your printer listed. At a glance, you can see the status of your printer (it should show as connected). While your 3D printer is printing you will see the name of the item being printed and the percentage complete. If you are using a MatterControl Touch device to control your printer (instead of MatterControl Desktop), the printer control page is where you will see the camera feed, if enabled matterhackers.dozuki.com Page 7 of 9
8 Step 12 Click on an individual printer to enter the control panel for that printer. Here you can also see the status of your printer and its current progress. The 'Start Print' button will begin printing the first item in the print queue. The 'Stop Print' button (shown while printing) will stop the current print. The 'Add File to Queue' button will allow you to add a file directly to the print queue. Step 13 Return to 'Dashboard' and select 'My Designs'. Select the 'print' button for one of your previously uploaded designs (found on the right hand side). This will bring up a list of available printers, select your printer and press 'Start Print' to begin printing.
