2 General info: Everything SECURE! No matter if we talk about creatives, tags, redirects, HTML5 or Flash or videos or display ads: EVERY element, every URL, pixel, code snippet, HTML5- or Flash element, request / call must be secure (https) - always! If not, if just one tiny little element (e.g. pixel call) is not secure, creatives will be rejected by nearly every exchange and publisher. So a campaign s delivery is immediatly at stake! 5 Display Specifications HTML5 - Additional info Dürfen einzelne Banner-Formate Unterverzeichnisse für Assets enthalten? Is it allowed for single banner formats to use subfolders for assets? Depends on the adserver in use. For DCM (and DBM): Banner formats are allowed to contain subfolders for assets if in the specific folder (you are currently working with) creative subfolders exist and a ZIP file containing the creative file structure is uploaded. Is there a limit for the number of used assets? The number of assets is not limited, yet the creative s weight is limited: Max. 1 GB is allowed. Are external JS and CSS allowed or has everything to be created inline? External JS and CSS are allowed. Is it possible to load animation JS libraries from external CDNs? JS libraries can be loaded from CDN if the load is secure (https). Please keep in mind that all assets count into the overall creative s weight even external assets. Are certain animation JS libraries not preferred? jquery is not recommended for HTML5 because - Bad performance on mobile devices due to time triggered animations - Files are bigger than necessary due to the fact most of ist functions are not in use One alternative would be zepto.js (s. 5

12 Online Video Specifications InStream-Video Ads / Pre-Roll / Mid-Roll / Post-Roll Required: VAST-Tag or VPAID usually VAST-Tag is permitted by all video marketers, VPAID is permitted by some. Video file types H.264 (MP4), FlashVideo (FLV) and WebM have to be content of every video ad (other formats are allowed but will not be used), it has to be a linear tag / prefetch-tag. Through VAST-Tag loaded InStream-Anzeigen can t be delivered on following devices: Mobile phones / Smartphones, Tablets, Gaming devices or TVs Optional: Companion Banner has to be used together and parallel with VAST-Tag. Same requirements as companion ads on websites; doesn t have to be delivered as sepearte content 12

14 Online Video Specifications 1. If VAST Tag URL is https (secure), then all calls in the XML File have to be https (secure), too. 2. If VAST Tag URL is http, then all calls in the XML File can be either http or https (secure). 3. If delivery on YouTube is intended all calls/trackers have to be https (secure) in order to be SSL compliant. Therefore all trackers in the XML file have to be https (secure), too. Westrongly recommend to create everything in HTTPS in order to ensure highest reach in our network. 14
