1 General Information Earl Center 254 Contact: (877) for Help Desk Laptop Connection 1. If using a laptop, connect it to the HDMI port located inside the popup grommet on the top of the podium. An HDMI cable is required. Older laptops will require specialized adapters. 2. The Promethean should automatically sync with the laptop. If not, locate Source button on the remote control and choose HDMI3. Using the Promethean Software (Installed on the podium computer) 1. Locate and click ActivInspire on the desktop 2. The software toolbar will now be available on the right side of the screen. Use the pen or finger to control. Adjusting Sound 1. Audio is controlled in the room using three possible options: a. Using the built in audio on the computer. b. Using the software. (eg: YouTube) Adjusting Size of Icons & Text 1. Right click on the desktop and choose Display Settings Using the Document Camera 1. 4 Epson Short Throw Projector & Dry Erase Whiteboard Epson Short Throw Projector 1. Power on projector with remote. 2. The Interactive tools appear in a toolbar on the right side with 3 different Mode choices 3. These will appear when you touch the board Whiteboard Mode 1. Click on the remote button Whiteboard or on the toolbar 2. This gives a blank screen for drawing and saving your work 3. To show / hide the bottom toolbar, use the on screen button Annotation Mode 1. Click on the toolbar 2. Write or draw over images, websites or software open on the screen PC Interactive Mode (default) 1. Use the provided pen or your finger to move objects as if it were a mouse 2. Right click by pressing the button on the side of the pen Note: the software Easy Interactive Tools has been installed. 5 Zoom Video Conferencing If the software is already installed, Click on the Zoom icon OR Go to this website Sign in with your buzzin credentials Click on Start Meeting It will download software and prepare the meeting room Click Sign In Choose Login with SSO credentials Enter emporiastate as the company domain, click Continue Last updated November 1, 2017 Page 5 of 7

6 Now that the software is open, click Start with video or Start without video icon Check mark in the bottom left automatically join audio Click the green button Join Audio Conference by Computer You will see yourself on the screen or hear your voice, you can invite participants at the bottom bar. 7 Click on the green Share Screen button and choose what you want the participants to be able to see. If you choose Desktop, remember the participants will see anything that appears on your screen including alerts or other software you move to. If you choose a specific software, then, it will only show activity in that software. The up arrow next to the Share Screen button gives you advanced sharing options.
