1 The new classrooms projection system in Maria de Molina 31 consist of two touch screens displays that will serve as a computer and as well as a projector. They will be located behind the whiteboards, as we can see in the image below. To interact with these touch screen displays, we can use a special pen, finger or use your own mouse and the traditional keyboard. These screens will be connected together and we can use both at the same time or individually. At the beginning of class, if you find the screens turned off, you have to turn them on using the "on / off" switches located at the bottom of the screen. Or we can use the remote control. Once the screen is turned on, we will find ourselves in the classroom environment all well known to us, where we will have to enter our username and password using the keyboard which we will find in the classroom lectern or using the Windows virtual keyboard.
2 The desktop will be the same as the ones we are used to in the rest of the buildings, which contains access to our teacher file, MS office, internet, acrobat, etc. New Aspects of Power Point There are new changes with PowerPoint. When we open one of our presentations, the first thing that we will notice is that the size of our presentations does not match the screen size. This is because the screens are panoramic and by default the PPT presentations are in 4:3, if we want to take advantage of all the screen space we have to set up the presentations to 16:9. To do this we will go to "Design" - "Page Setup" - "Onscreen Show (16:9)" But be careful, because changing the size of the presentation will have an impact on some slides which can be distorted, especially those that contain images or videos. We recommend making a copy of the presentation before making any changes, since in the classrooms with projectors the presentations should be set to 4:3.
3 Another advantage in using PowerPoint with these screens is the possibility of "pointing", "marking" and even drawing on each slide with the stylus pen and using the drawing feature that the program provides. Being able to end the show, the option to save our notes and send them to our students. To move the slides, we can still use the classroom presenter. The physical computer disappears; instead, under each screen we will find a cable box like the one we see in the image below, where we will find everything we need to use a pen drive, an external hard drive, or to connect our personal laptop to the touch screen displays.
4 Connections to connect our laptop by VGA (in this case you also have to connect the audio cable to the headphone output of our laptop if you want to play sound. We will also have an HDMI connection; in case our laptop has this connection option (it broadcasts both video and audio) : VERY IMPORTANT if we want to use the projector screen as our laptop and also operate with the touch system (Windows only), we have to connect a USB cable to the input port of the cable box, labeled for that use specifically. All the necessary cables for these connections will be at our disposal correctly labeled in the classroom lectern. HDMI VGA
5 Eboard These screens, incorporate a new software called Interactive Whiteboard Software which we can execute from start - programs This is an interactive board where we can paint, display videos, images... In conclusion we can use up to 100 different screens for each session, and at the end we can save them and send the classroom contents to our students. The appearance of our whiteboard screen will be similar to this one: We will have a toolbar to help us use the Eboard efficiently.
6 And an image library where we can find and use the content by browsing our computer, navigate and make use of the clip art images and use external media such as videos, web, pdf, etc. Since the use of this program is very extensive, informative sessions and specific documentation which will be imparted previously announced.
