In a domestic environment, these products may cause radio interference in which case the user may be required to take adequate measures. CAUTION During installation and maintenance, take ESD protection measures, for example, wear ESD gloves or an ESD wrist strap. During router transport and installation, prevent the router from colliding with objects like doors, walls, or shelves. Do not place other objects on the router. The installation, connection, and login methods of AR0/AR0 series industrial switching routers are similar. This document uses the AR-FC-H/AR0-8FE-D-H router as an example. For more information, see the Hardware Installation and Maintenance Guide. Figures in this document are for reference only and may not show the actual appearance of the router. Site Environment Do not place this product in an environment with flammable or explosive gases, or smoke. The installation site must be free from leaking or dripping water or heavy dew. If the relative humidity is high, use dehumidifiers or air conditioners with dehumidification features.
3 The installation site must be well ventilated, and the air vents of the router must not be blocked. Do not place the router in a dusty environment. 00mm Leave more than 00 mm clearance at two sides and rear of the router for heat dissipation. Installing the Router. 13 Powering On the Router. Powering On the AR0 Series Industrial Switching Router Ensure the following before powering on the router: The power cables are correctly connected. The AC input voltage is in the range of 90 V to 90 V (single-phase) or 0 V to V (three-phase). Some routers use DC power supply and require that the DC input voltage be in the range of 9. V to 0 V. If the ARGPe-U-H, ARGR-U-H, and ARG-U-D-H have been placed in a low-temperature environment (below -0 C) for more than. hours before they are powered on, their G module can work normally 0 minutes after startup. Turn on the power switch of the external power supply system. Check the PWR and RUN/ALM indicators. If they are in normal PWR RUN/ALM RS8-0 states, check other indicators on the router. 14 Logging In to the Router Use a console cable to connect a PC to the console interface of the router. If your PC's operating system provides terminal simulation software (like HyperTerminal in Windows 000), you do not need to install additional terminal simulation software. If the PC runs on an operating system without terminal simulation software (like Windows ), install third-party terminal simulation software on the PC by referring to user manual or online help. A PC may have more than one serial port. Select the port connected to the console port. Generally, COM is used. If you modify the serial port communication parameters on the router, modify the communication parameters on the PC to ensure that they use the same communication parameters, and then set up the connection again. Start the terminal simulation software, create a connection, specify the connected port, and set communication parameters as follows: Bits per second (B): 900 Data bits (D): 8 Parity (P): None Stop bits (S): Flow control (F): None Press Enter until a message is displayed asking you to enter the username and password. (The following information is for reference only.) The default user name is admin and the default password is Admin@huawei. Login authentication Username:admin Password: <Huawei> Info: The entered password is the same as the default. You are advised to change it to ensure security. CAUTION If you forget the login password, restore the password according to the Troubleshooting. After successful login, you can configure the router on the command line interface. For more information, see the CLI-based Configuration. To configure the router using the web system, perform the following steps (only applicable to AR0 and AR0 series industrial switching routers of V00R00C0 and later versions). Connect a PC to the management interface of the router using an Ethernet cable. Configure a management IP address for the router. For example, set the management IP address to 9.8../ on GE0/0/0. <Huawei> system-view [Huawei] interface gigabitethernet 0/0/0 [Huawei-GigabitEthernet0/0/0] ip address Now, the management IP address of the router is set to
