1 QIM-DP-03-Enter and Save Packager Issued Reject (K) This Desktop Procedure demonstrates the steps for Entering and Saving a Packager Issued Reject (K) in QIM. 1. Click Quality Reject. Click Quality Reject Without 8D to create a reject that does not require an 8D. Note: Fields with an * are required fields. See APPENDIX 2 for instructions on how to save the Issue as a Draft. See APPENDIX 3 for instructions on how to open an Issue saved as Draft from the Worklist. Note: It is STRONGLY recommended to click the Maximize Window button to view the new window in full screen. 2 QIM-DP-03-Enter and Save Packager Issued Reject (K) 2. Click the Issue Overview tab. 3. Enter your name in the Reported By field. See APPENDIX 4 below for instructions on how to default fields in QIM. 4. Enter the Reject Location using the drop down arrow. *Ensure Reject Location matches your issuing location GSDB Code* 5. Manually type in the Material or use the drop down icon. Note: Hit Enter on your keyboard and the Material Description will be displayed to the right of the Material field if the Material is valid. 6. Enter a short Issue Description to quickly describe the Quality Reject. 7. Use the Detailed Description box below to describe the Quality Reject in depth. 8. See APPENDIX 3 below for instructions on how to default the value of a field in QIM. 10. Use the drop down arrow to enter Charge Code. 4 QIM-DP-03-Enter and Save Packager Issued Reject (K) Note: Packager Information is left blank. 11. Enter the Packager Rejected Quantity. 12. Click the Defect button. 13. Hover your cursor over the Defect Code field (below Defect Code column). 14. Click the drop down icon. Note: The drop down icon will appear after hovering your curser over the Defect Code field. Note: The Service Part Prefix, Service Part Base, and Service Part Suffix will be auto-populated and does not need to be changed. 21. Scroll up and click the Attachments tab. 7 QIM-DP-03-Enter and Save Packager Issued Reject (K) 22. Click the File button. 23. Click Browse. Note: The Document Type is QIM by default and can be left as QIM for this process. 24. 9 QIM-DP-03-Enter and Save Packager Issued Reject (K) Note: Ensure the Changes successfully saved message appears. Note: At the top of the screen, the Issue is automatically given an Issue ID. In this example, the Issue ID is Click the red X to close the window. Note: The supplier will have 14 days to provide disposition for the rejected parts. 10 APPENDIX 1: How to Review the Supplier Disposition. 1. Click the Worklists tab. 2. Select a Worklist in the Issues section. 3. Click the Issue Number in the Issue ID column. 4. 11 6. Scroll down and review the Stock at Packager and Packager Comments information. 7. Click the red X to close the window. APPENDIX 2: How to save Issue as Draft. 1. 13 APPENDIX 3: How to open Issue saved as Draft from the Worklist. 1. Select the appropriate Worklist in the Issues section. 2. Click the Change Worklist button. 17 8. Click the Draft Status button. 9. Click Release Quality Reject. 10. Use steps 2 through 28 above to completely enter all necessary data. APPENDIX 4: How to default fields in QIM. 1. 18 2. Hover your cursor over User Settings. 3. Click Use Current Value as Default. Note: Now the field will be defaulted with the value entered the next time you create an issue.
