2 Corporate Information California Water Service Company (Cal Water) is the largest investor-owned American water utility west of the Mississippi River and the third largest in the country. Formed in 1926, the San Jose-based company serves more than 473,000 customers through 28 Customer and Operations Centers throughout the state. Quality. Service. Value. 2
3 Corporate Information Cal Water is the largest subsidiary of the California Water Service Group, which also includes Washington Water Service Company, New Mexico Water Service Company, Hawaii Water Service Company, HWS Utility Services, and CWS Utility Services. As a whole, the Group provides high-quality regulated and non-regulated utility services to approximately 2 million people in 100 communities. Quality. Service. Value. 3

5 CPUC Oversight Calwater is regulated by the California Public Utilities Commission. Calwater is required to file a General Rate Case every 3 years. GRC proposes rate increases for increased operating costs and capital improvements. Improvements include new booster pumps, new tanks, new wells and treatment facilities. Current GRC includes years 2016, 2017 and GRC is also critiqued by Office of Ratepayer Advocates. Quality. Service. Value. 5
6 Livermore History Cal Water's Livermore District was formed in 1927 with the purchase of the water system from Pacific Gas and Electric Company. In addition to the 18,400 customer connections in our Livermore system, we serve 25 customer connections under an operations and maintenance contract with Crane Ridge Mutual Water Company. Quality. 7 Livermore District The Livermore District consists of 208 miles of pipeline, 7 pressure zones, 32 booster pumps, 23 tanks with a total of 14 million gallons of storage and over 2,000 fire hydrants. Livermore customers are provided a blend of ground and surface water. Groundwater is produced by 11 wells ranging from 276 to 538 feet deep. These wells produce approximately 1 billion gallons of drinking water per year. Groundwater makes up 20 to 30% of annual supply for customers. The remaining 70 to 80% of annual supply is surface water provided by Zone 7 through turnout connections. Quality. Service. Value. 7
8 Livermore District Staff Livermore management staff consists of: District Manager, Customer Service Manager and 2 District Superintendents Livermore office staff consists of: 3 Customer Service Representatives Livermore field staff consists of: Serviceperson, 2 Meter Readers, Storekeeper, Pump Operator, 3 Utility Workers, 1 Operation Maintenance Worker and a Electrical Mechanical Technician Calwater was voted one of the top 100 workplaces in the bay area by the Bay Area News Group for the fourth consecutive year. Calwater received a J.D. Power & Associates Award in 2016 for Highest Customer Satisfaction in Western Residential Water Service Quality. Service. Value. 8
