2 Features 1 Thank you for purchase of WiseDoc Gel Documentation Systems. For gel-documentation and analysis, you can find WiseDoc range is the best choice based on its cost-effective, flexible configuration and high specification. Unified darkroom system with built-in sliding transilluminator offers very high safety in use. Transilluminator: 312nm, 8W 6 UV lamps Digital CCD camera (resolution 1.5 million pixel) with portable darkroom is offered. 1360X1024, 10-bit (for WGD-30) Black & White image is captured. Very compact portable darkroom system enables the existing transilluminators in the lab to be used together with. High flexibility in use is offered. High-quality & Precision Large Caliber optical lens with Zoom, Focus and Iris control (manual adjust) is used. USB 2.0 interface is available, through which real-time images are transferred directly to PC. Nonlinear TL-100 TM, image analysis software is supplied together with the system - FREE!!! 8 Installation 5 1. Connect Device 1) Turn on Personal Computer. 2) Insert the Installation CD and copy all folders to hard disk. 3) Connect WiseDoc WGD 20 USB cable to PC and install device drive. 4) Specify ArtCam150PIIIDrv in the CD (Details of installation are explained in the following pages.) 5) To confirm installation, find ARTCAM-150PIII in USB controller in device manager (Start -> control Panel -> System -> Hardware -> Device manager -> USB Controller) Check device DAIHAN Scientific, WiseDoc Gel Documentation System 8 /21

9 2. Driver Installation 1) When you connect your WGD-20 to PC. Following screen pops up. Place Installation CD into CD-ROM drive 2) USB 케이블연결 Click Next and follow the screen. Click Next Click Continue Anyway DAIHAN Scientific, WiseDoc Gel Documentation System 9 /21

14 Make large of WiseCapture Window for easy monitoring Click Preview Can monitoring real time. Click Format setting Can entrance to a Property of Stream Format. Please make sure of Monochrome DAIHAN Scientific, WiseDoc Gel Documentation System 14 /21

15 Click Filter setting Can entrance to a Property of Image Filter. You can adjust Brightness, Contrast, Sharpness and Gamma Click Analog setting Can entrance to a Property of Analog Gain. You can adjust Gain and Exposure If you adjust Gain to so high. Image will be roughed. So adjust it carefully. If you check Mirror. Image will be converse vertically. 16 Click Snapshot. Image will capture. Click Save Can save captured image to hard disk Or Removable storage system. You can select image file type (BMP, JPG, TIF, PNG, RAW) and last Make a filename and then click Save DAIHAN Scientific, WiseDoc Gel Documentation System 16 /21

17 Repairing and Cleaning 7 1. Do not disassemble or break up by yourself. It may cause damage to the designed safety. We do not have any duties for an accident, quality degradation or a defect caused by a customer. 2. Before cleaning, please pull the power cord off. We recommend you to use soft cloth, and if there is some dirt not to be cleaned, please use mild cleaning solution that has the low freezing point. 3. EtBr is DNA staining solution. But It is a heavy carcinogen. So please take care of it, when handling. And you should clean tools and environment by 70% ethanol always. When you finish the job have to clean you hands also.. 18 Safety Instructions 8 Do not modify any part of the machine - the mechanism part or electrical part. Modification made by non-technical person can make serious problem of the machine. EtBr is a heavy carcinogen. So please take care of it for handling. And you should clean hands, tools and environment by 70% ethanol always. The machine must be standing on a stable, even surface that is as sleep-free as possible. Please take care of transilluminator. UV light is harmful your eye and skin. Use a goggles for protect. Or keep block UV from transilluminator. Please be careful that liquid should not penetrate into the part of control panel or back plane. Please use the machine in clean environment for use with long lifetime. All circuits and electronic parts used for this product are DAIHAN s own technology, so please do not make it repaired by anyone who isn t our own staff or technician authorized by DAIHAN.
