1 Discover the Next Generation of Software Education s Accreditation and Certification Offerings 10th, February, 2018 The Former HPE Software Education has revised the Accreditation and Certification program as part of the spin-merger with Micro Focus. This FAQ provides the details of the new program. What has changed in the new program? Due to the Spin-Merger of the HPE Software with Micro Focus, Software exams are no longer available for enrollment at PearsonVUE testing centers, instead the new Accreditation & Certification program for Software exams is available on the Micro Focus learning center here. Select the Training Solution you are looking for on the main menu, then browse or search the catalog for available exams.

2 Can you elaborate about the Software Education Accreditation/Certification Program at Micro Focus? Accreditations and Certifications are hosted on Micro Focus Learning Center (ViewCentral) and managed by Micro Focus Education Services. The HPE ATP and ASE exams have been rebranded as ASP and ASE respectively. Accredited exams (online exams) can be taken anytime within 12 months of enrolling. Accredited exams are not proctored. CSP and online and hands-on exams (respectively) are delivered face-to-face (proctored) on the last day of class and will receive a Certification designation. Exam enrollment is subject to completion of the supporting course prerequisite.

4 What enhancements will the new Education Certification and Learning experience offer for ITOM, ADM, Security, Vertica, and IM&G Customers? With the new program in place, the following enhancements to the Software Education Accreditation and Certification Program apply: Easier access to the Software Education training and certification portal at Updates to training and certification content New Accredited Software Professional (ASP) and Accredited Software Expert (ASE) online exams New Certified Software Professional (CSP) online proctored certifications New Certified Software Expert () proctored certifications What is the difference between an Accreditation and a Certification? Accredited exams are offered online and can be taken anytime/anywhere there is Internet access. A Certified

5 exam is offered at a location with a proctor present. The certified exam is typically offered on the last day of the prerequisite course. Who should take an Accreditation or Certification offered by Software Education? The Software Education Accreditation and Certification program is open to internal employees, partners, and customers who want to validate their technical skills required for their job. I am a Software Partner, do Certifications provided by Software Education count towards the Partner Program requirements? An accreditation or certification provided by Software Education is not a partner program requirement. Software Education courses you complete will count towards partner program benefits with some exceptions. Please contact your Partner program coordinator for more information.

6 Who delivers the exams and how do I register? Exams are delivered online through the Software Education LMS here. ASP & ASE exams can be taken without a course prerequisite. Upon the completion of the training course, the participant has 12 months to attempt the exam. What will happen to my AIS/ATP and ASE Certifications credentials obtained from HPE Certification and Learning (ExpertOne)? Past exam records will be retained by Software Education at Micro Focus, but will not be reflected on the new learner profiles on the Software Education LMS (ViewCentral). You can send an to Software Education support hpswed-examproc@microfocus.com for manual recording of historical results into your current ViewCentral profile. We will also validate and confirm any verification queries from Talent Acquisition teams.

7 How does a Partner with a current record in the Software Education LMS (ViewCentral) have Certification records sent to the Partner Program lead? If a partner has a current profile on the Software Education LMS (ViewCentral), they need to go into their profile and complete the new field for Partner ID. This will enable us to send a report to the Partner Program for proper completion tracking. What does it mean to a Customer or Partner about the legacy HP/HPE Certification records? Software Education obtained an historical certification credentials report from HPE Certification and Learning. A customer or partner can request verifications from the following hpswed-examproc@microfocus.com
