The minimum eligibility requirements are given in Table I and the schedule for the course and the examination is given in Table-II. The examination will follow immediately after the course. Details of fees structure are given under the heading Programme Schedule and Applicable Fees in Table-II. Candidates interested in registering their names for this programme, shall fill in the enclosed form giving all relevant details. Candidates who are members of ISNT are requested to provide their membership number in the column provided for in the Application. Other Candidates who are not members of ISNT have to exercise their option to enroll for membership in the application form by selecting One year Membership (or) Life Membership. Eligibility Requirement as per IS : Table I: Minimum experience requirement for ISNT Level III Method of Access Education Experience(Months) Access to Level III by a Degree in Engineering or Post Graduate in Science from person holding ISNT an accredited science or engineering college or 12 Level II university Direct Access to Level III Diploma in Engineering or Degree in Science from an accredited college or university. Xth Standard with Science and Mathematics Degree in Engineering or Post Graduate in Science from an accredited science or engineering college or university Diploma in Engineering or Degree in Science from an accredited college or university. Xth Standard with Science and Mathematics Note: The candidate shall pass the practical examination for ISNT Level II in respective NDT method which will be conducted by NCB separately either before or after the Level III Examination a. If the college or university degree is issued in Non Destructive Testing, the experience required for access to Level III may be reduced by 50% b. Credit for work experience may be gained simultaneously in two or more of the NDT method covered by this Standard, with reduction of total required experience as follows i. Two testing methods reduction of total required time by 25% ii. Three testing methods reduction of total required time by 33% iii. Four or more testing methods reduction of total required time by 50%

For Example: To obtain Level III Certificate in Magnetic Particle Testing method (MT), the candidates should pass in Basic + MT General + Weld or Cast

4 NOTE : # Candidates who hold Level II Certificate as per IS in respective method issued by NCB - ISNT can appear for Level III without Practical Examination. # Candidates who hold BARC RT Level I & Level II certificates can appear for ISNT Level III RT Exam without Practical Examination. Candidates willing to access Level III directly will be required to pass the practical examination equivalent to Level II in the relevant method. Fee for this will be Rs./- additional per method as shown in the above table. For each specific in any method, an additional fee of Rs /- per sector shall be payable. The above mentioned amount includes GST of 18%. Those who appeared earlier in ISNT Level III examination but did not succeed are requested to contact the Chief Controller of Examinations for re-examination. It may be noted that BASIC itself is not considered as a method. First time applicant must appear for Basic examination. To be certified as ISNT Level III in any NDT method, candidates shall attend the entire duration of the course and pass both Basic and the Method examination including one or two specifics. Candidates will have to indicate specific sector of their choice for specific examination viz. welds or wrought/cast products. One can appear for more than one specific sector in a particular method if he/she has the required experience. To obtain Level III certificate in any method applicant will have to pass BASIC and respective method(s) with at least one specific sector and procedure writing in each specific method(s). For Example: To obtain Level III Certificate in Magnetic Particle Testing method (MT), the candidates should pass in Basic + MT General + Weld or Cast IV. Certificate Those who will successfully fulfill the requirements of the training course and exams as state in IS will be awarded the ISNT Level III certificate by NATIONAL CERTIFICATION BOARD of ISNT.
