2 40GBASE SR4 TAP - Network Flow TAP LGX integrates passive TAP functionality into cable patching system. A passive optical Traffic Access Point (TAP) is an access point install in networks that provides real-time monitoring of ports. This can give you a much fuller understanding of your data flow patterns and allow you to plan your technology integrations accordingly. TAP provides two distinct paths of the same network signal by splitting the optical signal that is carrying the network link; one path to live network and other path to a test environment for continuous monitoring. The 40Gbit connection on multimode works with 8 fibers in one connector. The most common split ratio configurations are 70/30 and 50/50.
