Product was developed and manufactured in the Czech Republic. All rights reserved TESLA. The product may be provided to third persons along with this documentation only. 2 Description and Utilization TCREX is designed for radical extension of TCR terminal memory capacity and for possibility to connect TCR wireless terminal into LAN network or into internet for remote control. TCREX is connected to the TCR terminal via USB cable. TCREX needs permanent powering via power adapter 230VAC/5VDC. Over USB cable the TCR terminal is permanent charged from TCREX then as well. Backup (download) terminal memory data via USB is running periodically every 12 hours. TCREX memory capacity is higher than 2 years of hourly records from 16 probes in terminal wireless network. 2/13

3 TCREX data viewing and downloading is possible to realize by connected PC with installed some internet browser (Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, etc.). PC is connected with TCREX by UTP cable. TCREX includes internal web server which sends web pages with results over UTP cable to your internet browser. Web pages are in English or Czech. So there isn t necessary to install any special application for control of TCREX and there is possible to use various operation system (OS) of PC. Saved data in PC is possible to export to files with extension.tab for further processing in any text editor and in any spreadsheets. For easy graphical display and advance analyze of.tab files can also use the program Radonview see Accessories. Attention! Via TCREX isn t possible to configure and diagnose wireless network of TCR terminal. Via TCREX is only possible to view and download long-term measured data from wireless network of TCR terminal. Configuration and diagnostics of wireless network of TCR terminal is necessary to do by special PC application for TCR terminal. TCREX data viewing and downloading can be operated by these 2 ways: A) Standalone solution - TCREX is only powered and connected with TCR terminal (Central unit) during long-term radon measurement (fig.1). TCREX permanently download data from terminal to its flash memory. This solution is used in cases of internet absence and in cases of long term measurement. The data are then downloaded from TCREX to PC after end of the measurement. It is possible to download data directly on measurement spot (fig.2) or later after switch off and disconnecting of measurement net (fig.3). fig.1 Standalone solution - Example of measurement with TCREX 3/13

B) Remote control solution TCREX is powered and connected with TCR terminal (Central unit) and connected also to LAN network (router) or INTERNET network (router + modem) (fig.4). 6 5 Operating Instructions Starting: After connecting of power adapter and after connecting of TCR terminal the TCREX always starts of periodical backup of TCR terminal memory automatically. It is possible to connect TCREX to TCR terminal later after start of data acquision in TCR terminal because TCREX makes backup of whole TCR memory. Before connecting of TCREX into new wireless network it is better to clear memory in TCREX; see List options below and Clear All Records. Attention! Via TCREX isn t possible to configure and diagnose wireless network of TCR terminal. Via TCREX is only possible to view and download long-term measured data from wireless network of TCR terminal. Configuration and diagnostics of wireless network of TCR terminal is necessary to do by special PC application for TCR terminal. Before new measurement in new measurement network don t forget to clear memory in TCR terminal. For setting and viewing, downloading of data from TCREX to PC connect TCREX and PC directly via (delivered) UTP cable or via some IP switch. On PC set its static IP address and its mask in TCP/IP network configuration tools; IP : ; Mask: On PC use some web browser and write into web link default start IP adress of TCREX: The best browser are Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox. The basic web page should be loaded, it is possible to enable unsecured certificate, it is ok. Now it is possible to set TCREX, view and download data; see to List options below. TCREX has two type of IP addresses: TYPE IP ADRESS DESCRIPTION Configurable operating IP address Default: Mask: Normal configurable operating IP access for LAN network. connection. Non configurable back door IP address Strictly: Mask: Safety non-configurable back door IP access only for direct cable connection with one computer. 7 List RADON basic page Basic web page shows records of radon concentration from probes wirelessly connected to TCR terminal. Somewhere Location of TCR terminal wireless network. 8 List SPECTRUM Shows records of energy spectrum from probes wirelessly connected to TCR terminal. SPECTRUM (Get) Shows chart with probe data files for viewing energy spectra from particular radon probes. Number in file name is number of mesh address of probe in wireless network. time channel Time of start recording of spectrum Energy spectrum shows number of impulses generated due to radon decay. Every detected impulse has definite energy which is measured and evaluated into 96 discrete energy levels (channels). One discrete level presents energy interval 0,1 MeV and whole energy graph is approximately range 0-10 MeV. If number of impulses in some energy levels cross 255 the record of spectrum is stopped earlier before setting record interval. 8/13

11 List SETTINGS It is a list for configuration of IP connection. Ethernet address - Setting of TCREX operating IP address for net connection by clicking Edit. By clicking on Write IP Settings TCREX changes its IP parameters. Then it is neccessary to write into browser new changed IP address. Netmask Setting of subnet mask. by clicking Edit. By clicking on Write IP Settings TCREX changes its IP parameters. Gateway Setting of gateway for net connection. by clicking Edit. By clicking on Write IP Settings TCREX changes its IP parameters. Direct address, Direct netmask - Only shows safety non-configurable back door IP adress and mask of probe only for direct cable connection with one computer. This acces is necessary to use in case of forget the operating IP adress. 11/13

12 List BACKUP It is a list of downloading data and setting of description. Time to next backup Time left to next downloading data from TCR terminal. Backup in progress is indicate by yellow label in top white line. Backup takes around 90 seconds. Download All to ZIP file By cliking it downloads all.tab data files (Radon, Spectrum, Terminal, Diagnostics) in ZIP file from TCREX to PC. For easy graphical display and advance analyze of.tab files can also use the program Radonview see Accessories Clear All Records By clicking it erases all.tab data files (Radon, Spectrum, Terminal, Diagnostics) in TCREX. By this cliking it doesnt erase data from connected TCR terminal! Backup By clicking it is possible to make backup just now. It is nesseccary to wait for time to next backup. It is good for end of measurement in time out of periodical automatic backup time. Backup takes around 90 seconds. Location By clicking on Edit it is possible to write location of TCREX. It is showed in top line of webpage and it is also saved with data to ZIP file. Description By clicking on Edit it is possible to write description of TCREX system. It is showed in top line of webpage and it is also saved with data to ZIP file. List SERVICE Software of TCREX is possible to update by dragging of software update file into square. After dragging the probe is automatically restarted. It can takes up to 1 minute. The latest update file is available on producer website. 12/13

If interested, please use contacts on the web 7 Repairs Any repairs and non basic maintenance must be performed exclusively by TESLA manufacturer.
