1. Safety Precautions Do not touch the terminal section (charged section) of the Relay or Socket while power is being supplied. Electric shock may occur. Never use a Relay for a load that exceeds the contact ratings of the Relay, such as the switching capacity. Doing so may result in reducing Relay performance for insulation failure, contact welding, and contact faults, and might even result in burning or other damage to the Relay itself. Do not drop the Relay or dismantle it. Doing so may reduce Relay performance and might even result in burning or other damage to the Relay itself. Relay durability is greatly affected by the switching conditions. Always test the Relay under actual application conditions to confirm applicability and use the Relay only for the number of switching operations that will not affect performance. Continued application of a Relay with reduced performance may result in insulation failure between circuits or in burning in the Relay itself. Do not apply an overvoltage or incorrect voltage to the coil, and do not wire the terminals incorrectly. Incorrect application may prevent the Relay from performing its designed function, may affect external circuits, and may even result in burning or other damage to the Relay itself. Do not use the Relay in atmospheres containing inflammable or explosive gases. Switching arcs or Relay heating may result in fire or explosion. Wire the Relay correctly according to the Precautions for Correct Use when performing wiring or soldering. If the Relay is used with wiring or soldering that is defective, abnormal heating while power is supplied may result in burning.
2. Introduction IR-8DI8DO-RJ45W is 8-channel Ethernet relay board, which is designed to work in IPbased networks. The device can be used stand-alone or as a part of control and monitoring systems. Its I/O interface - 8 relay outputs and 8 digital inputs 3-5 VDC, is suitable for solving specific problems in various fields such as remote control, process automation, home automation and others. Port: 8080 Device Name: Put a device name (optional) Step 7: Double click on the added device in the list on the left side to open the manager interface for this device.
Step 8: Configuration-Window Click Connect. If device connection is successful, Device Status shows Connected. If you forgot the Device ID click Get Device ID to get the ID. (Only for RS485 relays) You can write the Computer time to the device with the button Write to Device (Note: Only possible for relay modules that have an intern clock! Otherwise nothing will happen). Device Time : This option only works for relay modules with an intern clock. Step 9: Manual Control-Window Click Manual Control and then put a checkmark at Online Control, in order to run the real-time control model. You can open / close any of the 8 relays manually by clicking open / close. It is also possible to put checkmarks at specific relays to open / close all of the selected relays simultaneously by clicking Open Selected / Close Selected. Relay (Digital Output=DO) is closed Lamp is red. Relay (Digital Output=DO) is open Lamp is black. Digital Input (DI) is active Lamp is red. Digital Input (DI) is not active Lamp is black. You can change the name of the relay by double click in the gray name area. Before closing the program, save the project file ( File Save Project ).
5. Offline Control In Offline Control you can save the control command on the device itself by adding specific control rules. Then the action of the relay is trigged by - Intern real-time clock ( Time Control ; optional) or - Digital Input ( DI Control ) Step 1: Click Add Control Rule and select a control type.
- Time Control: Select Time Control and choose a certain point of time or a regular time, e.g. every year, every month,, every minute. - DI Control: Select DI Control and choose one of the 8 digital inputs ( DI Condition ) to trigger the desired action (Note: Input Voltage 3-5 VDC). Then choose the Action to be performed: Close / Open or Invert a specific pattern of relays. Device ID : 0 (default): Control this device itself. Device ID s from 1 to 254: With this device as a master, you control the relay action of another device (with the Device ID ranging from 1 to 254). Click OK to finish the new control rule. Click Write to Device to save the rule to the device. Click Clear Device to delete all the rules saved on the device. Click Delete to delete single rules from the list, and click Clear List to delete all rules from the list. Important: When deleting or clearing rules from the list, you only delete from the list. All rules written to the device will stay there!
