8 nbn fixed-wireless how does it work? nbn fixed-wireless uses TD-LTE mobile technology The nbn fixed-wireless network uses 4G TD-LTE mobile broadband technology to connect end-users nbn has so far built and activated over 1,000 transmission towers of our planned 2,600. Premises can be served up to 14km from towers but line of sight is required Fixed-wireless transmission towers are linked back to our core network with fibre Most nbn fixed-wireless premises would be very difficult to serve with new fixed-broadband 8
