3 FIBER OPTIC INTERCONNECTING COMPONENTS CABLE ASSEMBLIES Fiber optic patch cords are made of highest quality SENKO and R&M components that conform to optical interface standards described in IEC/PN-EN Connector plugs are terminated on modern assembly line SENKO APC 8000 and verified by means of Data Pixel and EXFO measurement equipment: KONCENTRIK measurement equipment for ferrule eccentricity verification as well as for eccentricity measurements and tuning of terminated connectors. DAISI / DASI MT optical interferometer for 1,25 and 2,5 mm connectors and MT / MTRJ end face geometry measurements. IQS optical connectors and passive devices insertion loss and return loss computer measurement test set; FOT150 optical connectors insertion loss and return loss measurement test set kit. All offered connectors are compliant with the requirements for interfaces according to PN-EN and PN-EN All cable assemblies are compliant with performance standards series PN-EN and internal standards of Polish Telecom ZN-05/TPSA-044 for environment of U category according to PN-EN (uncontrolled environment, temperature range from 25 to +70 C, relative humidity 5%-95%). Customized products include connectors for use in environmental category E according to PN-EN (extreme environment, temperature range from 40 to +85 C, relative humidity 0%-98%, humidity condensation, industrial atmosphere). Plugs are offered in three attenuation grades: S-standard, P-premium, M-master. Standard high performance plugs providing very good random mate attenuation performance, compliant with IEC and PN-EN standards as well as corporate TP S.A. standard. Performance of standard grade plugs fulfils requirements of most currently used fiber optic telecommunication systems (SDH, CWDM and CATV). Premium plugs for most requiring customers, dedicated for use in high-end DWDM systems with high Power levels and in case of tight optical line loss budget. Master selection plugs, dedicated for test and measurement and for extremely high optical Power levels in optical fibers (>30 dbm). 4 Measurement documentation Each plug is labeled with unique serial number together with manufacturing date (mm/yy) and has insertion loss and return loss test report (against reference plug). Our offer comprises wide range of outdoor closures and distribution frames. The splice organizers are dedicated for installation of large-sized passive components. 17 FIBER OPTIC DOME CLOSURES OZKS 160 Fiber optic dome closures OZKS 160 are universal enclosures for aerial, underground, buried and fiber optic ADSS cables, for all kinds of telecommunication networks. The closure protects fiber connection points from environmental influence and gives possibility to control the optical fibers. The base and dome is made of high-density polyethylene (HDPE). Heat-shrinkable or mechanical sealing system are applied. Closures may be equipped with pressure control valve or external grounding clamp. The offer comprises three main dome closure types: OZKS 160N closure up to 144 splices; OZKS 160NK closure do up to 72 splices; OZKS 160ND distribution closure up to 72 splices and 24 FO connectors. Application range OZKS160 closures can be used in environment categories: S (Subterranean environment), A (Aerial environment) and G (Ground environment) according to PN-EN (subterranean, aerial and other above-ground installations). OZKS160 closures have approval of MŁ and comply with TP S.A. industrial standard ZN-96/TP S.A Marking 17

18 OZKS 160N DOME CLOSURE Closure base has three round entry ports for cables of diameters 18 mm and oval port for two cables of diameters up to 20 mm. Heat-shrinkable or mechanical cable port sealing are applied along with main head sealing. Internal frame made of painted steel provides base for cable fixing, fiber optic trays and excess tubes of fiber optic cables (including uncut cables coming through oval entry port). Chassis enables fastening of three KSP 24 splice trays, with capacity from 24 heat shrinkable or mechanical splices (diameter from 2.4 to 3 mm) up to 48 fused splices (diameter 2.4±0.2 mm). Organizer trays enable installation of fiber optic passive devices and fiber ribbons. Organizer trays, sealing kits and other auxiliary outfit shall be ordered according to user needs. 20 DISTRIBUTION CLOSURE OZKS 160ND The OZKS 160ND distribution closure is based on the chassis of the OZKS 160N closure with support for organizer trays KSP 12 and with additional sliding support for 24 SC-E2000-LC Duplex adapters or 16 FC-ST adapters. Up to three organizer trays KSP12, with capacity of 12 fused or mechanical splices each (diameter from 2.4 to 3 mm) and up to 24 fused splices (diameter 2.4 ± 0.2 mm) may be fastened to main closure frame. Organizer trays, sealing kits and other auxiliary outfit shall be ordered according to user needs. Dimensions: length 635mm, diameter 160mm. Boxes have a screw-mounted dome, wall side cable feedthrough and spare fiber lengths organizer with S6 holder for fused splices or F6 holder for mechanical Fibrlok splices. 1x2 WDM elements can be installed in the box. Adapters are mounted on a hinge with protective rubber bushing on a box side. SC and LC Duplex adapters can be equipped with protective flap. Patch panel consists of bearing frame with removable cover and of swinging drawer with splice trays and front panels for connector installation. Swinging drawers provide easy access to splice trays and optical connectors during service works due to optimal spare cable and fiber lengths management. Universal patch panels OPDU are adapted for easy latch installation of PS-010 connector modules on the front panel, which enables flexible configuration of optical connectors. Available are modules: 8FC-ST, 8SC-E2, 12SF (Small Flange) and dummy modules. OPDP type patch panels feature reduced installation depth and interchangeable mounting holders 19 and 21 with adjustable positioning. 57 SPLICE TRAYS KSP12, KSP24 KSP type splice trays size is adapted for storing and arrangement of ribbon fiber splices, mechanical splices and passive devices up to 60 mm length, maintaining bound radius over 30 mm. Interchangeable splice holders enable application of various heat-shrinkable protective sleeves, mechanical splices and passive elements of various dimensions. Installation of other supplier s holders (3M, Corning) is also possible. Modular extension of splice trays set is simple due to the latch hinges installed on each tray. Splice tray s body and splice holders are made of polycarbonate (PC), hinges made of polyamide (PA), covers of pressed PVC. Applicable for primary fiber 0.25 mm and buffered fiber 0.9 mm as well as their combinations. Shrinks in all models of built-in splicer s shrink ovens and in hot air from a heater gun in temperature of 120 O C. After shrinkage the sleeves are fully airtight and provide good mechanical protection of the splice. The range of available products comprises splice sleeves of diameter (after shrinkage) 2,4 or 3 mm and length 60 or 45 mm.
