The joystick is the optimum solution for certain applications since it facilitates intuitive and thus reliable operation. In-house design Third-party standard joysticks were not always sufficiently satisfactory for the requirements that input units of RAFI had to meet. For this reason, RAFI has now developed its own joystick series as a platform. The joystick handle is tailored to the customer's requirements for each specific application. 3D Hall sensor system RAFI relies on the zero wear 3D Hall sensor system for its JOYSCAPE products. This makes it possible to design compact systems that are extremely reliable at the same time, with at least 5 million operations. 6 oyscape The Suitable Solution for Any Task Finger Joystick General Purpose Joystick Finger JOYSTICK The Finger Joystick excels by its compact design specifically whenever there is little space for mounting. It has a free throw function in the x-y plane. Suitable for operations requiring a fine touch. One for everything The RAFI General Purpose Joystick is extremely flexible and versatile. It accommodates multi-function handles with many different options such as: Rotary function, including rotary encoder Push function (confirmation) Buttons, e.g. with RAFI MICON / RACON short-travel keyswitches LEDs Thumb joystick Momentary rocker switch Two basic sizes The JOYSCAPE platform offers two basic sizes with different characteristics. Both are based on a zero-wear 3D Hall sensor system, which can also be designed as a redundant sensor system for applications with extremely high safety requirements. Standards The throw angles of the RAFI joysticks are: orthogonally 20 and diagonally 28 each. You may also choose to use smaller angles as necessary for your applications. With the standard restrictor gates available, the JOYSCAPE product range covers all common applications. Advantages The design based on Hall elements results in very rugged systems in small sizes. The mechanical design of all components is extremely robust. The metal housing made of ferromagnetic steel ensures optimum shielding of the sensor systems and provides additional robustness. The large throw angles with pivot points outside of the mounting plane minimise the required mounting hole size. This enables you to use bellows with very few folds, which results in less wear and, above all, facilitates cleaning to high hygienic standards.
