1 Allen-Bradley Scanners A-B Scanner Overview All scanner cards come with a configuration port that is great for online diagnostics and commissioning. The MicroLogix and ControlLogix cards can be monitored online while the PLC maintains control. During the start-up phase, the outputs can be set and the inputs can be read without going online with the PLC. Display Some cards have an integrated seven-segment display. This display is used in configuration mode to show all connected I/O modules.
