3 Arduino Open-source electronics platform based on easy-to-use hardware and software. Reads inputs like sensor, button, text Create action as output by activating a motor, turning on an light, sending messages. 3

4 Founders of Arduino Originally started as a research project by Massimo Banzi, David Cuartielles, Tom Igoe, Gianluca Martino, and David Mellis at the Interaction Design Institute of Ivrea Casey Reas and Ben Fry as well as a thesis project by Hernando Barragan about the Wiring board. 4

Arduino boards are able to read inputs like sensor, button, text and create action as output by activating a motor, turning on an light, sending messages. It runs on Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux.
