3 1 Introduction is designed to collect information from pre-installed receiving modules and redirect this information to monitoring software. Up to four different receiving modules can be inserted into mounting slots of the Receiver RD10. 2 Features - Up to 4 different receiving modules can be inserted to receive security panel messages sent in VHF/UHF frequency, GPRS, CSD, SMS connection or through telephone landlines - Displays received information on digital screen - Automatically controls connection with both pre-installed receiving modules and monitoring software - Redirects received information through serial port RS232 - Multi-protocol data output - Data buffer for temporarily storing output data - Internal clock - Can receive data from other receivers through two RS232 serial ports - Filter for repeating identical received messages 3 Technical Specifications Power supply ~ V (50 / 60 Hz) Used power 25 W Slots for receiving modules 4 RS232 data output ports 1 x DB9 Data flow rate adjustable Data output protocol Protocol is equal of exact receiving module's output protocol (tunneling) (up to 70 symbols). Button [Enter] [Esc] [ ] [ ] Light indication Operation LED is green when receiver is operating properly. LED is red when general error is indicated. LED is green when connection to monitoring software is through RS232 port. With no connection, LED is red. LED is green when power supply is switched on. LED Active is green when a receiving module is inserted. It is red if slot is empty. LED Status is green when receiver s concentrator is communicating with preinstalled receiving module. 5 7 Preparing the Receiver for Operation 7.1 Lay the Receiver on clean horizontal surface. Screw out the fastening screws, take the lids off and insert the receiving modules. Receiving modules should be configured. (Fig. 2). 7.2 Mount the Receiver in 19 server cabinet. 7.3 Screw on the necessary antennas. 7.4 Turn the power supply switch O/I on position O. Connect the Receiver into power supply main by the power supply cable (Fig. 2). 7.5 Switch on the receiver s power supply. Turn the power supply switch on position I (Fig. 2). Receiver is powered when LED named Power is green (Fig. 1). After a sound signal the Receiver is ready for configuration. 7.6 Connect Output port of the Receiver RD10 to a monitoring software computer by the COM cable (DB9/DB9). 7.7 Set data communication parameters in order to interconnect the Receiver RD10 with monitoring software. 7.8 Set the Receiver clock. 7.9 Set the Receiver sounds. 8 Receiver Configuration 8.1 Setting of date and time (DATA/TIME). 1) Press the button ENTER. Pressing navigation buttons [ ] and [ ], stop cursor on function [DATA/TIME]. Press button ENTER for entering in submenu. 2) Set date and time pressing navigation buttons [Esc], [ ] and [ ]. Press the button ENTER for applying settings. 3) Press button ESC if you need to return to the previous menu. 8.2 Setting of Receiver options (OPTIONS). 1) Press the button ENTER. Pressing navigation buttons [ ] and [ ] stop cursor on function [OPTIONS]. Press button ENTER for entering in submenu. 2) Select [Sound] and press the [Enter]. Set one of these functions Sound off / Sound on alarm / Sound on by pressing navigation buttons [ ] and [ ]. Press the button ENTER for applying settings. 3) Select [LCD brightness] and press the button ENTER. Adjust the LCD light intensity as (LCD light high / LCD light normal) by pressing navigation buttons [ ] and [ ]. Press the button ENTER for applying settings. 8.3 Input port settings (INPUT 1...4) for interconnecting pre-installed receiving module and Receiver. 1) Press the button ENTER. Pressing navigation buttons [ ] and [ ] stop cursor on function [INPUT1... INPUT4]. Press button ENTER for entering in submenu. 2) Select [Report format] and press the button ENTER. Set one of these functions or input protocols Line off / RF7 / Other by pressing navigation buttons [ ] and [ ]. Press the button ENTER for applying settings. Settings of communication between various receiving modules and Receiver are shown in Sheet 4. 3) Select [Baud rate] and press the button ENTER. Set Baud rate 9600 b/s by pressing navigation buttons [ ] and [ ]. Press the button ENTER for applying settings. 8.4 Output settings (OUTPUT) to redirect received information to monitoring software. 1) Press the button ENTER. Pressing navigation buttons [ ] and [ ] stop cursor on function [OUTPUT]. Press button ENTER for entering in submenu. 2) Select [Report format] and press the button ENTER. Set one of these data output protocol Input or Input+Time by pressing navigation buttons [ ] and [ ]. Press the button ENTER for applying settings. 5

6 3) Select [Baud rate] and press the button ENTER. Set Baud rate 9600 b/s by pressing navigation buttons [ ] and [ ]. Press the button ENTER for applying settings. 8.5 Settings of alarm report while internal event has been occurred (ALARM REPORT). 1) Press the button ENTER. Pressing navigation buttons [ ] and [ ] stop cursor on the function [ALARM REPORT]. Press button ENTER for entering in submenu. 2) Select [Report format] and press the button ENTER. Set one of these functions or input protocols No Alarm / RF7 / Other by pressing navigation buttons [ ] and [ ]. Press the button ENTER for applying settings. 3) Select [Report code] and press the button ENTER. Select text of alarm report by pressing navigation buttons ESC, [ ] and [ ]. Press the button ENTER for applying settings.
